Beard......a phrase one of my mates came up with years ago to describe the knowledge of obsessive detail about something.
i.e. Knowing that a E36 320i has an oval exhaust pipe to distinguish it from the round single exhaust pipe on a 318i.......that's beard.
Seeing as forum's like Pistonheads are often used to exchange said "beardy" detail I thought Beardy was a good username.....
And no I don't have a beard.
I'm sure your mate didn't come up with that. i.e. Knowing that a E36 320i has an oval exhaust pipe to distinguish it from the round single exhaust pipe on a 318i.......that's beard.

It's that your wife is really an elaborate ruse to maintain a "lavender" or otherwise non-conformist relationship isn't it?

I got 'Lets Torque' because when I was younger (I'm only 16 now

So when I joined PH it was either going to be 'Lets Torque' or 'TwoTonneKarmann' but the latter was too long IMO.

I was Dupont and after the last BTAP I managed to blow a 1.80 on the breath test at 10am... was still drinking 5am that morning with quite a few other PHers.
I drunkly agreed to change my name if I got the highest of the morning...
Guess what...
That day was not a pleasant experience when the hangover kicked in.

That was one of the best OPs ever.
My username is the same name I have used on every other forum I have ever joined - from diecast collecting to steam engines to computer advice to aviation.
It stems from my very first (and still used) email address, which goes waaaay back to year 8. I needed to create a username/address, "cooldude" (yes, ok...... I was only 12 at the time!) was already taken so I cast around the room and my eyes landed on the box for the videogame "Crazy Taxi". I used to play that game a lot and it featured a car with the license plate "lucky777", a reference to the winning number on vegas slot machines and the general phrase for doing well in the game of life. I thought that number with my name was as good a combination as any and it's been used ever since - pretty tenuous when I think about it really!
