Or the other one is Amazon giving you recommendations for printers because you bought a printer.

How quickly are you expecting it to break down, Amazon? confused

I just renewed a tax disc online.
Stick in the ref, click 12 months, pay.

They then asked me if I wanted to take a survey about how the service was.

FFS! I got the disc so it was fine, if I hadn't it wouldnt have been, does this really need quantifying?
You've done well to get a tax disc.

There's a secret box you can tick on the first page and they'll send you out a laminated one in a presentation case. I have a room full of them.

Two from today:

- people who buy something from you on a auction / car boot sale website and insist on communicating via the little used app rather than your email or phone number which you gave them some time ago. I don't want to be checking in little used iphone folders just in case you've messaged me when I'll get an instant pop up if you text or email.

- companies who accept your CV; tell you they want to do a phone interview; ask you to select a time via a website; email to confirm that time and who will be calling you...... then don't phone. 14:30 was 15 minutes ago... I have better things to do than sit in the office waiting for a phone call!

That's just rude on their part. I'd say they failed the interview (given that interviewing is a two-way process).

Shop assistants who ask for my email address to "send an electronic receipt" to after giving me a paper copy. FRO - I don't want hundreds of emails from you offering this or that bargain.

The total cocksocket who made an offer on my house, asked if I'd jump through hoops to move quickly and then comes up with the sttest excuse ever why he now can't proceed.

First move for us in 18 years, can see me going postal before this is over.

You were asked for a review after receiving your order. You're lucky. I've been asked the same. The problem was, my order hadn't arrived.

People who say we should riot here like they did in France, then get all angry when the Government announces preparations to use troops in case of riots post Brexit - what the fk do they expect frown

I can appreciate that its better than it was before, but it's still a faff. The list of companies that want to dump cookies on your device is massive on some websites, I predict many machines will choke on their cookies before long if the user doesn't know to wipe them once every month or so, and they are also too naïve to reject them.
I don't disagree.

The scary thing is that these sites have probably scaled back their cookie usage post-GDPR. eek
The 'review your preferences' page seems to pop up far more often on sites like this one and Autocar of late.

Before you hit the 'reject all' button, next time look at the massive list of companies that are connected with this sort of thing. It's quite scary.

After all the nonsense GDPR emails earlier this year, I see that the 'we haven't heard from you in a while so, in our efforts to remain GDPR compliant...' emails are becoming the new imposition.

We've received 2 Christmas cards so far for the previous owner of our house...which we've lived in for over 12 years.

Clearly no bother to me, hence the "beyond reason", but if you don't know someone well enough to know they moved house 12 years ago why are you sending them a Christmas card?

The amount of crap we get through the post from previous occupants is unbelievable. There are at least six previous occupants we get post for, including some nice and sensitive stuff like pension letters, greetings cards with handwritten addresses and a new bank card!

We even marked them 'return to sender' and dumped them in the postbox, only for a couple of them to be re-posted to the house.. Between this and all the marketing crap from Iceland, Dominos et al, I am tempted to invest in a solid fuel burner to dispose of it, and bring the gas bill down.
