Always liked him as an actor, was never that keen on Minder as a series but he was brilliant in New Tricks.

I thought he'd be older now, but then looking back at The Sweeney he looked older than his 27 years and John Thaw was only 33, both just seemed to be much older back then.

We used to see him with Rula Lenska around Beaconsfield . My niece was his cleaner for a while ,said he was always pleasant to deal with.

There are celebrity deaths that come and go, but this one has me upset. really liked his work, can remember minder as a mid week treat. what a well written program it was.

the theme tune aswell.....

and now he is gone.

hope Terry is at the bar with Dave and Arthur catching up.....

I liked him more where he was a bit tasty. He must have been a good actor, because I have no idea which persona, if any, is true to his real character.

Thaw was only just over thirty when Regan was filmed. DW looked baby-faced in comparison.

Think he might have liked that laugh

When Little Britain went massive and were touring doing sell-out arena tours, DW appeared in at least one of the live shows and sent himself up.

I thought he was great (early Minder was the best), RIP

I had just turned into a Teenager when Minder first aired.

I rather liked the Minder series.
