My local spoon group has stories of swarthy travellers stealing spoons. Not just teaspoons, all varieties are targets.
I suppose this must reflect the increased popularity of teaspoons over lockdown, with the corresponding price increase.
Is this a general trend, or a national problem?
It's just that where you live is a godforsaken, crime-ridden hell hole. I suppose this must reflect the increased popularity of teaspoons over lockdown, with the corresponding price increase.

HTH.
IMHO it should be a legal requirement for any spoon to be microchipped within eight weeks of purchase - the amount of pain and heartache this simple measure would prevent is simply stunning.
The process doesn't harm your spoon in any way beyond a mild discomfort, and the procedure is one that any registered diculatologist in the UK is qualified to perform - although general cutlery-care professionals can also gain accreditation via an approved training course.

What are we all doing for Stir Sunday? Obviously many of the usual activities are out.
I'll probably do a single person variation on the Spoons of Time, just me and a dozen choice implements in a clock face formation. Twelve hours of bliss as I sit in the centre, indicating the passing of the minutes and hours with arms outstretched.
I'll stream it live on Spooneo if anyone wishes to virtually join me.
Absolutely gutted to have missed this live.I'll probably do a single person variation on the Spoons of Time, just me and a dozen choice implements in a clock face formation. Twelve hours of bliss as I sit in the centre, indicating the passing of the minutes and hours with arms outstretched.

Is this some kind of parody? People getting excited over Krupp? Really? Mass produced tat, and don't give me the "it's a limited edition" yes it is, just like the million other variations they made, that were exactly the same, in a slightly different state of polished finish. Chinese Rolex of spoons.

This. The Stir branch of Krupp went down like Alfa Romeo. So sad; they were the pinnacle for emotional and competitive teaspoons in the 1970s, then the beancounters replaced the engineers. The spoons started to rust after three years of mild stirring, and are all produced on the same tools that made cutlery for third world canteens.I see Waldo "Plum" Skidborn has yet again leaked the idea that his collection of Minotet Cuvettes might be going to auction. (Page 14 of everyone's favourite magazine for the exact wording from "...a source close to Skidborn").
Nothing more than chichanery and flim flam, combined with a blatant attempt at price discovery.
The man has no shame.

I read that article as far as the fourth word ... they couldn't be bothered to spell Minotet's first name properly (missed the "e" off the end of Claude). It feels like the move online has led to a reduction in proof reading and I could bring myself to read no further Nothing more than chichanery and flim flam, combined with a blatant attempt at price discovery.
The man has no shame.
