Just taken the hund for a hobble and been serenaded by a foghorn duet; Cloch and Toward are duelling it out. Inversion fog FTW.
Which inevitably brings to mind:

Americans: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the North to avoid a Collision.
Canadians: Recommend you divert YOUR course 15 degrees to the South to avoid a collision.
Americans: This is the Captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert YOUR course.
Canadians: No. I say again, you divert YOUR course.
Americans: This is the aircraft carrier USS Lincoln, the second largest ship in the United States' Atlantic fleet. I demand that YOU change your course 15 degrees north, that's one five degrees north, or countermeasures will be undertaken to ensure the safety of this ship.
Canadians: This is a lighthouse. Your call.

With only 6K inhabitants, id be surprised if they have a proper facility for catching those crabs in the first place, although a pub with enough desperate local teenage girls might do.

EDIT: legal aged teenaged girls off course, before i get told off for that

I like Looe and could probably even tolerate living among the tourists each summer. But a garage is a necessity, not for the parking problems the town has, but as a way of keeping the car out of range of the seagulls and their bombing exploits.

getting very worried about filling my 24 hour karting team. the event payment deadline is looming and we only have half a team's worth of people so far! Can someone make it all go away please?
I always found it difficult to find drivers for a three hour endurance race, good luck finding them for a 24 hour race. One of the things I wish I had done is a 24 hour race but probably a bit too old and out of shape to handle it now.

Good news...

Daughter's insurance renewal is up in a few weeks. She Meerkated to get some comparable quotes then phoned her insurance company who were quite happy to drop their price by about £70 to match what she'd found. She just double checked to make sure that legal cover was included - it wasn't and the chap's screen told him that for some reason it would be about £30 cheaper to have it.
All in all it's now only about £380 to insure FC a 2007 Suzuki Swift Sport for a 22 year old girl with five years NCB. That'll do.

Yep, pleased with that. Having said that the Swift was chosen partially because of its insurance friendly nature. It's a long way from paying a grand for her knackered old Yaris when she first started driving!

MOT today 34 minutes to pass, no issues which is always nice and no bloody emissions either.

Well apart from lambda at 1.00 all the rest were 0.00

And it seems I have done the most yearly mileage since 2013. Only 10K mind you. Wonder if she was kept as a weekend car before.....

Oh and the tea at the MOT place was awful as usual.
