Not sure, but maybe this will help decide:

PS Technically I'd say neither as it is not part of the UK. But that's not as amusing.

I had to look twice at that image, then realised it's the M6 heading into the Lune Gorge just south of Junction 38 at Tebay. Used to use it every day!

The only piece of Motorway that is a pleasure to drive (although not in winter) IMHO

It's an area particularly susceptible to hail showers in the winter months. Sadly this falls onto the motorway and almost immediately becomes translucent, meaning you're sometimes driving on a surface with grip akin to ice without knowing it.

Between October and April when you hear of crashes and blocked lanes in the Lune Gorge or around Shap, it's often this as the cause. I've been first on scene a number of times when accidents like this happen. The worst was about 20 cars and lorries who piled into one another trying to avoid a poor guy in a Clio who spun and managed to hit nothing.

That's honestly the best you can find of southern women? eek the one in the black dress on the left looks like a pre transex transexual.
Erm, in the Big Market, they'd be received like something shiney at an Ewok BBQ.

Anyway, compared to the kebab-laden slappers full of flat-capped love-custatd, those are beauties.

I quite like the stretch of the M62 between junctions 25 and 21. Bit bleak in winter, though!

Try Junctions 15 - 13 M74. Actually better. Then onto the Biggar road to Edinburgh, a very enjoyable run.
