Went for a 3 mile walk. Reached the pub, all tables booked, so sat outside. Drizzle started!

Yes to 1 & 3. No to 2. Want another scorcher.

We never seem to get many thunderstorms where we are though.

It snowed for most of the day yesterday... And put down a couple of inches.
Still, it was good for some amusing drifting on the way back from the shops.
I'd actually put the car through the wash two days earlier, so I attribute this for the snow.
Next time there's something forecast I'll splurge for polish....

Just had a BBQ and toasted marshmallows in the fire pit.

Not bad for New Years Day! Cool and clear here in the Midlands.

Blue sky redface
A beautiful still New Years Day down here in Devon, blue sky with some haze and bright winter sunshine.
Agree, it was almost like an early spring day in the South Hams.

Current pressure is around 1041/1042 mbar in the NW. Highest for around 20 years.

Also explains why you appear heavier on your scales after Xmas yes

Very chilly this morning here in north Essex, but still no frost. Netweather suggesting the rest of the week will be chilly too, and warm back up a fraction on Tuesday.

Quite a hard frost up here in the Peak District this morning. Car needed scrapping. Nice and still though, so didn't feel really cold.

We get snow up here every year and it's nice for the first few days, after that the novelty wears off and it's a pain. I've been enjoying the mild winter so far.

I think it means there's a big red whale over the Arctic that's going to be impregnated by a sperm that's coming in from Russia. Although that might just be the plot of the new James Bond come to think of it.

Yeah glad you asked that, I'm in the same boat. Google translate doesn't have a science -> pleb option yet.
