Goodnight? GOODNIGHT??? I've only just got up?!?!?
This rally adventure of yours sounds like fun Peri! Do you think Fabio's up to it? Don't you have to register and stuff first? Are you just going to turn up in one of Bomma's boilersuits, your leather flying helmet and goggles and a stout pair of gauntlets and blast past the stewards onto the course????

I always knew GrandBomma was the sensible one in all of this, if you want to get her the camper Bomma I'd suggest getting on the Lego site and grabbing one now, they did have some stock but they're going up in price every where else!!!!

Hunger is good for you Bobbers. It keeps a man alert and active.

I think I'll just grab myself a nice leisurely breakfast:
bacon, eggs, mushrooms, grilled tomato, baked beans, lovely hot buttered toast, and another pint mug of tea.
No sausages, I'm on a diet. wink

Sometimes retirement is hell! rolleyes

The left over cheese straws have sustained me this morning. They were for Easter but chocolate got in the way. Best before July. I'll manage that with some concerted effort. Cheese Twists, apparently. Cheese straws are too seventies.

Dicky, I think you'll find that the Twist pre-dated the '70s.

According to Chubby Checker, anyway.

Youd better check the sell-by date again. .

Mrs Bobbers has decided to have a try at making her own cheese straws, she hasn't said when this is likely to happen, but I'm hopeful it'll be before Christmas!!!!

Like we did last Easter

You were right: Best Before July 1959.

So many things were.

I've sent Madam Magoo down to Angouleme ,first stop is France Poid Lourde for front brake pads and an oil level sensor, then it's into Brico Depot for a new battery drill as mine has given up the ghost since my scaffold incident last Tuesday.

I've also given her cash to buy what she wants at the cut price end of line store.

Mavis and I have just returned from her morning walk and we are now enjoying Tea & biscuits.

A Tawny Owl sat in a tree staring at me through the bedroom window last night.

(no, it wasn't a dream).

Thanks for that Bobbers, I've sent Eric the Carrier Pigeon off in your direction, hopefully he'll be with you shortly.

Grandbomma's having a few of her friends over in a bit for her birthday bash, I've been tasked with creating some jellies using rabbit shaped moulds. I've got a raspberry, a lemon & lime and an orange one brewing away at the mo.

We'll see what happens.

A Tawny Owl? There's a few bottles of Tawny Port in the hangar, I was hoping to hang on to them until next Christmas.

No Owls here though, as far as I'm aware. Lionel made an appearance earlier, had half of my bacon roll he did. Little bugger.

Walking the dog years ago we came across an owl sitting on a branch above us. It hissed at us. I was most disappointed. It's too-wit-too-woo for me, please. The dog didn't mind. He was as nonchalant about it as he was about most things.

This bloody owl wakes me up every hour or so with his bloody too-wit-too-woo.

A hissing owl? Good God, I didn't realise they hissed, I think I'd find that a bit disconcerting.

My old dog was quite friendly towards most birds, there was a little robin that used to pop in the garden and they used to get within a few inches of one another.

She didn't like pigeons though. Or magpies, for that matter. Used to set her off fine style, they did.

Ever seen a German Shepherd perform a vertical take off in an attempt to take down an errant magpie? I have. It's quite a sight to behold.

Anyhow, the jellies have cooled nicely now so it's in the fridge with them to set properly. There's a nice bit of ice cream to go with them when zero hour arrives, I'm quite looking forward to it.
