I think I wrote about this last year but it's worth a mention again: the Grand National. How can people suddenly become interested in horse racing for just one day of the year? It's a load of absolute boring fking ste!

The same with Wimbledon.. How many spectators, pouncing around the venue or watching on the licence fee funded TV coverage, actually follow tennis for the rest of the year.

Being told (usually online) that the telephone number is not in an acceptable format, mainly because I have left a space between the STD area code and the main number - a tradition that stretches back more than a few decades.

Today on the RAC application the landline was acceptable as 01234_567890 but the mobile was rejected until I'd amended it to 01234567899.

"Assorted" plasters.

Clearly "assorted" now means "fking useless". A box full of stupid shapes, most of which you will never use, and the manufacturers revolutionary fking Useless (TM) glue. Why do they even make them?

Excessively bright and poorly situated external household flood lights. Espically if they light up nabouring properties.

Agree. Why do they have to be angled so that they shine way over the fence/hedge height at the bottom of their garden?

The seemingly inexorable march of the phrase 'rocking up' instead of 'arriving' on PH, and also the near universal, particularly from professional sportsmen, and even more particularly from those that partake in two wheeled activities professionally, use of the adjective 'super' instead of 'very'.

Has to be some text before it in your part of the post.

If the 'http' address is the very first thing in a post it won't work. You just need to type something before it, or add in a 'space' to make the link work.
