Oh are you in the Lincolnshire area then ? If so where abouts ? And what date you doing at cadwell ? As if not working i may well pop up to have a watch/nosey
Hello.
My youngest was playing in the house and then fell oddly. The then said to my wife that a lady hit him, pointing to the doorway. He then cowered away, hiding on the sofa for some time.
I thought I’d quiz him, some time after the event, to see if he had anything to say. What is so odd, is that he mentions the “yuck” hole in the bathroom. Funny thing was, the voice heard in that room was with my older son! Please see previous update.
I’ve recorded a video of his responses. He’s only two, shortly three, but thought it would be interesting.

Hello again, time for an update.
With the frequency of my youngest child complaining of a lady, we thought we'd step up the investigation. This morning, two mediums visited. I'm being very open minded about the whole thing. Some interesting points:
- They correctly identified the areas that have caused the most concern within the house
- They asked if there was a well in the garden (there is, but we haven't found it yet)
- They correctly identified that there were a lot of children associated with the house (people from the local area gave birth in the house)
- They correctly identified the area of the garden where my son saw a child
- They asked if there were blackberry bushes along one part of the garden (there was, i'd pulled them up)
- They mentioned that the previous owner (husband) died in the house, but he was well liked and respected (I've heard this is true)
- They correctly identified that footsteps in the corridor sound like they are from children and not adults
- They explained how they think there is a hidden cellar (we thought the same, yet to be checked out)
- They explained about the lady my son talks about and described her
They asked if i'd been the one who had put some mirrors on the top floor. I said they were one of the only thing left in the house. They said they had to be removed as the lady who causes the most issues is associated with them (she was vain) so they've gone in the garage.
Anyone want some mirrors?
They explained about the bathroom lady, too. She died whilst giving birth to her father's child. The bathroom would have been a bedroom and linked through to the master bedroom (cupboard wouldn't have been there and would link through).
Overall, nothing is sinister, but there is unhappiness.

BUT, if you get a phone call from an excited chap who introduces himself as a historian, in his early 60s, with long thinning grey hair who has a rolled up clutch of old papers covered in manuscript notes, then RUN.
It’s under the stairs and it looks pretty solid, there’s not a lot to look at right now and trying to dig through the floor isn’t that appealing. I will look into it, though. Oh, please document the process of finding the room. Maybe a picture by picture update on another thread would be a good idea.

My wife messaged one of the mediums after this. They said it was her mother and they didn’t want to say anything so as to not upset. Funnily enough, my mother in law’s ashes are in the house (and we didn’t say anything about it). But, it could easily be a guess. You say the 'mediums' asked you if you were the one who put the mirrors on the top floor, to which you said yes? In order for them to be able to ask that question means they have been in the house before. Similar with the raspberry(?) bushes that you dug up.

They walked into the garden and one said that she could "see", in the past, a man walking along and picking berries in a certain bed. She asked if there were blackberry bushes and I explained there were, but I'd cut them down.

We had the paranormal investigation team over, including one of the mediums from before. A good, fun evening!

To summarise...
- We are happy to live in this house, it will be great once renovated. It shall not be going on Rightmove.
- General unexplained occurrences have calmed down
- I heard footsteps for the first time the other night; but it could easily have been something else (cat having a bad day)
- The mediums and paranormal team were friendly and free and they do it as a hobby. I felt the mediums were less accurate than the time they visited alone and I wasn't convinced on a lot of the things they suggested
- I have no conclusive evidence and I always assumed that would be the case
- I will of course, update if anything happened that was *almost* impossible to explain away
- I've got some haunted mirrors going cheap!
