£7-10 a pint, £15-20 for spirits and mixer/cocktails.
i try to stick to beers in which case a £100 night out is doable. it's when you're in a crowd on a 'proper' night out that things get silly.
Thats fking shocking. You must have some thirsty mates.i try to stick to beers in which case a £100 night out is doable. it's when you're in a crowd on a 'proper' night out that things get silly.

really? are you 100 years old? what do young people do instead of drink on a night out?
No I'm not 100 years old but thought he can't have been talking about being a class A drug user on a public forum because clearly he's not talking about a bit of draw. Edited by Adam B on Sunday 7th October 19:26
How long is a piece of string? This thread is just going to be spouting random numbers and have little meaning. Most I`ve personally spent on a night out probably £600 including some lappage, most spent on a night out on expenses (with quite a few people it has to be said, maybe 20), about £40,000. Sheer and utter madness and the company is unsurprisingly now bust. That was back in the heady days and doesn`t happen anymore.
Oh the most I've spent on a night out is a different story. When I was a rough and ready cargo pilot we had a 2 day stop over in Milan.
Our operations dept. failed to book us any accommodation on the first night we walked the streets till about 4 am when we found one room for three of us to share.
Next night we said we'd sort out the accomo. We found a beautiful hotel that had recently opened and started having champers sent to the room as a bit of revenge. Then had some cocktails sent up before we went out for the evening and returned to the hotel with some "friends". More champers and high jinx. I fell asleep on the phone to my missus after apparently threatening what was probably my reflection in the mirror and falling off the bed. The phone bill was over £100 and our total bill was a bit over £3000, more than our landing fee and airport charges.
We got into surprisingly little trouble for this as is was a very profitable charter flight but on the empty flight home... well probably enough said.

I often struggle not to spend £100 on a night out. Buy a couple of rounds, taxi, bit of food is £100 easy in Brighton.
More if you're taking a girl out, restaurant, cocktails...
I'm saving a house currently and have realised I simply cannot have a cheap night out. No self control (well not after a few drinks anyway), always end up in a dubious bar at 6am trying to remember if I have enough for a taxi. Hence in Friday and Sat night in this weekend. Then again going to a big warehouse party up in London at the end of the month and fully expect to blow £200 or more.
Go out less and make sure when you do its a good one!

Wow, this thread amazes me
Am I just really sad and out of touch? I could never imagine spending more than £20-£30 on a night out, including something to eat. Maybe £40-£50 if I'm having a proper restaurant meal before going to the pub as opposed to some shin afterwards.
Then again, I do live in the countryside and never been out in a big city.

Local 'bab house or Indian restaurant. I don't judge how good a night out is on how much money I can waste, more on the people I'm with. Just don't see the need to get overly drunk or stuff my cake hole....Edit to add:
Typical night out,
Indian restaurant -
£6 for a couple of drinks
£6 main meal
£5 rice and a naan bread, £17 in total.
Pub for 4 or 5 further drinks at £3 a go makes another £15 tops, lovely jubbly

Then again I would never go to a "bab" house either.
