I did a gig tonight at a festival and the guitarists were not using anything near as big as a 4x12 :-)

Why do musicians (especially guitarists) seem to think everyone appreciates the sound of either their own playing, or even the sound of the instrument?

Could be Santana doing a solo outside my house at 9am, would still be fking annoying if you dont like the sound.

I don't think people will return to study it in the future and hold their heads as if to say 'If only we knew the exact time this had been posted, it's such an important comment'.

9am.... on a Sunday...... guitar....

Yep... too early, but then again you knew that. ;-)
This.

People have hangovers or want to have a lie in on the weekends. Making a load of noise early in the morning is highly inconsiderate.

And lots of people work at night. Still unreasonable to make noise.

T'was ever thus, and will be.

I was digging some footing holes at 8.30 this morning - by hand.
Then got the petrol saw out at 9.30, i would say 9am is fine.
10m is quite close for a neighbour though...
I was chainsawing at about 09:45 yesterday. No one complained because I had a sodding chainsaw in my hand biglaugh

Wouldn't some kind of rotavator be more useful for dealing with sod, or a strimmer or mower? wink
