After a new laptop for OH, not much really jumping out though, tried the usual suspect, Curry's/PC world (disappointing this year IMO), Argos, AO, Ebay. Any other suggestions? Budget is around £400.

Cheers
HP 250 like I said earlier should do the trick. Ebuyer.

Ebuyer is worth a look

My default for that budget is normally the Dell outlet store though.
Thanks

Just bagged a Makita Oscillating multi-tool for £89.99 instead of £216 on Amazon.
link?

Yeah but as ever it's never been £216. £89.99 is a good price, the lowest it's been since last Black Friday in fact, but it typically goes for around £100 so the claimed savings are somewhat less than reality.

what I was expecting then, joke

Hoping for some savings to be made on an HTC Vive or oculus rift bundle, wanting one quite a lot & doing my best to hold back the itchy trigger finger in the hope of saving some pennies!

For that budget you should get a decent deal on a refurbished ex corporate machine on ebay

Yeah, I was after one anyway and never take much notice of Black Friday stuff. Was looking to get the Fein but really didn't need the top end one and I thought £89,99 was a fair price so went for that instead and I had no idea what they usually go for (but our local builders merchant here in France has that Makita up for €220 and the Fein as a special one-off deal at €256).

Do you have a link for the cheap Hive? I'm not great with Amazon, and can only find Hive for £149.
Sorry for the delay. A tad cheaper now.

Last year I was looking at moving into a new property. Mrs F and I wanted an american F/F so looked online at Curry's. It was £549.99. We thought we'd wait for Black Friday but watched the price creep up. Just before BF it was at £739.99, then reduced to £599.99 for BF.
We left it for other reasons, kept it on our device and saw the price drop again to £549.99 until the january sales where it put up again before the end of December only to be 'discounted' in January for the same price.
We bought it out of the sales in mid-January for £499.99.

Just an update here that Screwfix have decent Hive prices, just ordered active bulbs for £11.75 each - less than the Hive site.

Wickes are selling them at £11 each if you can find the stock.
