This is unreal, are you seriously for real?

You sound like a moaning entitled fool to be honest, just about everyone on this post has told you you are wrong, but you still persist, give your head a wobble man.
how can an opinion be wrong, its what I think. If I punched her in the face then yes I might be wrong then but its just an opinion I have of her.

So any apologies for calling her a bh then?
Well no because I still think she was for not saying anything about the payment for over 24 hrs, just because you can do something doesn't mean that you should.
This has to be a troll, surely?
Pretty certain tommytaylor doesn’t have a lot of contact with women. Maybe once upon a time he did, but it didn’t go too well.

Might biggrin All for the temerity of taking 24 hours to reply.

Threads like this make me wonder how people like the OP navigate the world successfully.

Also on another note; who the fk needs to go into a bank to make a payment or move money

I think it's a wind up thread. Well done in parts

Off topic a bit but connected I was reminded at the weekend of an absolutely great post on PH about selling on e bay. The poster basically said be wary of people that ask questions. Put a good honest description up and then be on guard about question askers.

More people than you'd imagine for all sorts of reasons. It also might have been an excuse used because they might be skint and waiting to sort money out (money/finances can be an embarrassing subject if you aren't flush). Either way they didn't really do anything wrong.

Very much so. People that ask loads of questions tend to be a waste of time in one way or another.

What could be so desperate that you need the £72 so urgently?

I use a sniping app that puts my bid in with 3 seconds to go. When that happens I could be at work, asleep, away or anything. I'll pay for it when I next get chance to look at my phone. No urgency though as I have 4 days.

That said, I'm still usually watching as I like to know if I've won, and will pay straight away.

Until my mum died in 2020, I always visited her branch to pay her care fees (was a court guardian) didn't want to use online banking for her account.

Plenty of others I imagine use physical banking too.

It helped me manage her spending and I didn't have to \ want to bother setting her up online.

You realise there are many tools available for auction sniping and she could have used them?
I'm not too bothered, I've now sold everything I want to and won't be doing it again, I was just explaining why I was a bit miffed about everything. If that's the way its supposed to work then I won't bother with it in the future. I was going to put a nearly new ultrawide monitor on there as well but my mate said he wanted it so I'll gladly give it him instead of doing anymore of that now.
Yes - that's the way it's supposed to work. The winner gets a few days to pay.

If you want to give away your ultrawide monitor because the person who buys it on ebay gets a few days to pay you, then that's up to you.

Chill out.

Here's another couple from the OP getmecoat

GP refusing to issue meds any longer - it's all their fault & not OP's even though he moved over a decade ago / didn't tell them and now refuses to register at a new surgery because "no matter how ill I become I will not be sat in a waiting room full of fat tattooed women screaming at little chantel for hours at a time".

Bad driving from the boyfriend of the daughter of a neighbour in his road - drives a "chav car" and is therefore a drug dealer, but what should OP do?

Ebay is great for buying stuff.

I'd never sell anything on there unless they were paying me cash.
You still have to be careful, in theory they can get home and say xyz has now broken and they want a refund, which could come from your linked account

Gumtree all the way, meet away from home - cash
Yes almost happened to my mate over some power tools.

He actually closed down his PayPal account just before they could take any money.

PayPal chased him with threatening letters for ages. Not sure if it ever actually went to court.

The tools were fine but the buyer wanted them for free.

Why couldn't ebay have told me this instead of telling people they don't have to pay,
Wrong on both counts:

1. eBay do "tell" you. When you buy a label it offers collection services or drop off services.

2. eBay tell buyers they must pay within 4 days. Something along the lines of "you have committed to buy...". If they don't pay within 24 hours they get a reminder, and another the following day.

I helped out with the CAB for years giving financial help with my banking background. In all the years, I've never known PayPal or their current pet debt collectors take anyone to Court. That could change as many companies are focusing more on revenue. Can you imagine eBay/PayPal appearing before a judge and saying to them: "The defendant owes us £500 for drills sold on eBay that were not as described/defective. We told the buyer that he didn't need to return the drills and we gave him a full refund..."

I buy only on eBay as I'm too lazy to sell stuff. I know that one day I will have a difficult transaction that will result in me having to trash my eBay and/or PayPal account and I will happily do so.

How do you know she was?

She could have used a sniping website. I used to.

ETA: I see someone has already pointed out she may have used a sniping tool. And you seem to reacted by saying sniping is akin to murdering babies with hammers.
