I also really liked a pair of Adidas Terrex mid-cut boots. They were also excellent and a great all round boot.
Over the years I’ve had many different brands and styles of boot but the last and current pairs have been the mid Terrex GTX boots; lightweight, waterproof, grippy, reasonably priced and not too shouty. Perfect for dog walks, mountains or miserable weather commute to work.

Would second Adidas Terrex range. I use their trainer style for winter dog walks etc and they are really good. Lightweight, waterproof and really warm. Can usually get them discounted from Adidas.co.uk or Sports Direct have last year's models on discount usually. A pair usually last me around 1,000 miles or so before the sole completely wears out from tarmac.

Has anyone tried Grisport?

I'd never heard of them before but look suitable for me.

Yes my wife had a pair and they were decent.
I've heard good things about them on other forums I go on.

In other news, if you shop at Alpkit, here's 10% off - use code ALPMAS10
