My staples were taken out with a plastic "hook" ended tool and my mum's were just last week too.

As for ops and scars I've had a few and have the scars although thankfully they're very "discrete".

The worst one was having my face peeled down from the middle of my skull down to my nose. My forehead was then remodelled and titanium plates bolted in and stapled back up from ear to ear.
Also had my jaw, chin and nose done but they were all from inside.

That lot took some balls. wink
Balls? ~snort~

I assume you're referring to having had FFS... can I ask why you chose to do it? (That or you've had one hell of a skull trauma or something at some point, must be a story there!) Got a very close TS friend who's going through the horrendous process that is Charing Cross referral, trying to get SRS etc - bl**dy nightmare. People deservea lot better.

Hiya Becca. smile How your doing?

Yes, I was referring to FFS.
I chose to do it because I didn't perceive myself to be "good looking".
I do now though so it was worth the expense and trauma.

I feel for you friend. I wouldn't wish CCX on my worst enemy.

If I'd have had to go that route and ultimately have SRS here (in UK) I would have stayed as I was.
I'd rather have a penis than be mutilated by that lot.

Absolute butchers. frown

Sternum to pubis. Cut three times.

1. Colon removed.

2. Intestinal adhesions/blockage fixed.

3. Emergency Splenectomy.

Not fun. Get your arses scoped out. Book a Colonoscope if you are over 40 or so to avoid the above.

Got a bunch of sporting scars, but nothing like that.
I did wonder how you ended up with the bag, something along the lines of 'Just how badly do you need to crash to need a colostomy?'

Here's my contribution, RTA on a bike in '98. Was a small hole on the outside, but very deep. It needed to be cut open and cleaned out, hence the long scar. To this day I don't know what actually stuck in me, but I suspect it was the gear lever.

Srangely enough, the only cars I have are both on my left hand & wrist.

The first one was a major car-crash, and my hand got stuff between the doorpost and the tree I hit. Took some persuesion to get it free. Wasn't even broken, just bleeding like a pig. 5 year later, sometimes I can still feel glass from the window beneath the scar. They didn't manage to find everything before they sewed me up....

Other one was a luging accident. Going flat out face down a luge track and then finding (too late) that because you're lying face down, you cannot pull up the handbrake to stop you at the end of the track anymore = nice scar and no more watch.

The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking- I highly suggest you try it.

Playing football with the dog 6 years ago, I slipped & done the splits.

Still sliding on the wet grass- the foot out in front got caught in a divet.

I managed to snap my Tib & Fib & took most of the cartalidge with it.
My foot ended up pointing towards my knee cap- but at the side of my leg.

The dog just stood there licking my face while I called for help- weird how it only starts hurting after a few minutes.

I have a 12 inch scar, a 9 inch scar and a 6 inch scar all for my broken back. I also have 13x1 inch scars from chest drains and 1 for a back drain when it went sceptic. I have a square road stone chip scar on my bum, a 2 inch scar in my stomach and one in my foot from the operations at the roadside.

Finally I actually died in 1998 but as it happened in a hospital they got me back living again after a period.

Dying and still posting on PH is very manly indeed. Anyone else done it?

That sounds like the beginning of one of those stories people tell in A&E:

"So, how did the wine bottle get stuck up your bottom?"
"Er, well, I was playing football with the dog, I slipped & done the splits...."
