Some people are just lucky. I know someone who won an Escort Mexico (CCC magazine), £18,000 on the pools and £25 premium bond prize within a month.

It had an unfair advantage - 5 legs

Not strictly a competition, but as part of a sales incentive in a previous job, I won a trip around Millbrook in the Maclaren F1 driven by Jonathan Palmer. One of the other winners was a neurotic woman who squealed and cried the whole time in the car, which sort of spoilt it for me.

Last thing I won of any interest was a pair of tickets to see the Rolling Stones at Twickenham.

It was run by the England Rugby Supporters Club. They apparently screwed up and published the competition late, so only had something like 35 entrants for 10 pairs of tickets! hehe

I've also never entered the lottery, yet I still dream of how I'd spend the millions...

Maybe (well, there is no maybe if I'm honest) I'm just pessimistic.

If you dream of winning the lottery without even doing it, I'd say that you were optimistic. Maybe even over-optimistic....hehe

Won a Sony 15" TV after buying a box of PG tips some 15 years ago. Inside was a nice card saying I won. It was the last box left on the shelf and the box itself was badly battered.

Not won anything since then, but I very rarely enter competitions, but I'm trying my luck now as I have my eye on winning that Honda Civic on prizefinder biggrin

Aparently Readers Digest have £250,000 + a number of other prizes for me, totalling over £289,000 worth.

All I have to do is spend the rest of my life returning the junk mail that they keep sending to me in the correct envelopes.

Off to choose a new car now.

I won a photo shoot many years ago and tickets to the 1st PH show.
I've been entering every This Morning, GMTV and Loose Women competition but still nothing. Luckily it's free web entry!

I won a book once off a TV show, I was about 12 and me and brother rang up and didn't grasp the concept that you were supposed to hang up after giving your name and address, so we made lots of snoring sounds and silly noises for quite some time. I think we won at the pity of the person handling the calls knowing what my mums phone bill was going to be hehe

Also won a holiday once for doing stand up when I was young.

I won a car in 1992. A Peugeot 205 GTI

Suppose there wasn't really any skill involved in the competition... It was one of the national newspapers (Daily Express I think) and just had to send off a card/envelope with your name, address and contact number. T'was a very pleasant surprise!! smile
