Neither. I went for the real thing. Still can't understand why she picked me. I'm sure she'll realise at some point!

A tip for survival. This only works in the early days of living together - you have one chance

Any stuff you may be asked to do (or even better, volunteer to do it), do it badly. So badly, that you won't get asked to do it again smile

Cooking
Cleaning
Ironing
Washing up
Shopping

ha ha. I want to cry. cry

Since moving in with the missus. I have no idea where anything is and have about the same amount of sex that I did at the age of 16.

Everything I own is hers. I have to tidy up to her agreed level of clean before I can have a mate round who has known me since school. I'm not allowed new trainers yet new shoes from faith is allowed. If she's on a diet then by default so am I. A copy of FHM is a waste but having the TV on full blast while she sits on the computer talking to her mate on the phone apparently doesn't matter as ''she'll pay for the electricty this month''.

When I find the receipt I'm taking her back to the shop and demanding store credit!!!!

All good advice!

On the shopping front, you must refuse point blank to go back to any aisle that you have already been through. I did this 25 years ago, and she has refused to allow me to "help" with the shopping ever since.biggrin

Well, moving in is all about give and take.

You give and she takes.

Ok, perhaps a bit more serious, it is just about compromise. Can I just check you two have been on holiday together?
Yeah, a few times, most recently being 3 weeks in France where we didnt kill eachother.

Oh dear oh dear !!
It's alredy too late for you nervous, you think she's marrying beneath herself and she is doing you a favour.
Using no-sex as blackmail is next i'm sure, once she susses your weakness.
Probably already figured you as a door mat.
Say goodbye to the world of men and close your P.H. account princess

Ok, that's a good start. At least you know that much.

Then it is just a bit of compromise as I said, it's easier if you are easy going....

Remember that favorite T-shirt, pair of jeans, jacket that you have owned for years and love. You will never see it again.

Alternativly if she likes it, as it seems part of you, she will claim it and wear it.

Unless she starts pulling the trolly in the supermarket from the front while you are pushing it. I am quite capable of driving at 140mph, I think I am capable of pushing a few bits of wire and casters without guidance.

A TV is a TV.

They do not understand that surround sound requires the speakers to be placed in that order banghead and you cant 'just move the room around'

And buy a shed (or three).

did you buy her something while you were out, or do something she wanted doing before/afterwards?

Virtual £10 says you did!
