We are in a similar situation but with kids. We separated over 2 years ago but are pretty much in the same house still, due to financial reasons and looking after the children. Well I'm in the house full time and she stays 3/4 nights a week, separate rooms.
I suppose there is no way to prove that we have been separated over 2 years?
If you agree that you have been separated, then you can simply state that you have been. The court will accept that financially it's sometimes not possible to move out of the same house. However, you may be best to take proper advice from a solicitor on exactly what to put in the petition and affidavit.I suppose there is no way to prove that we have been separated over 2 years?

Hi
Well divorce what can I say?
Get a good solicitor who wont ream you. Mine have cost about £10K
Her solicitors have charged her £28K so far
We ended up having to goto court for everything so ended up costing a fortune. She only backed down on the ancillary relief after she was shown to be a liar and an idiot at the FDR, she then settled at the next court appointment.
If you want the full story I can do it but will take a while to type but I do have lots of videos and pictures of events hehe
