Curretnly Penhaligon’s Opus 1870 and Penhaligon’s Sartorial I consider well worth the money (£25 to 30 each) as they last so long. Time has come to buy some more, but variety is the spice of life so what would be on the reccomendation list?
I'm currently using Molton Brown Oudh Accord & Gold, spicy cinnamon/citrusy notes, great in a hot shower.

& yes agree, you don't need a lot of it so actually good value.

I'm not fancy when it comes to shower gel. Original Source or Radox. Tbh, whatever is on offer at the supermarket.

Wife actually bought me something I wanted for my birthday (for a change):

Can I tap into the PH Hive mind. I'm in the market for a new Autumn/Winter fragrance. Normal Summer smell is Acqua di Parma Fico D'Amalfi but it's far too summery for the colder months.

I think I must be the only person whose OH absolutely detests like the smell of Aventus, which had been my go-to. Tried some of the Tom Ford in Italy, didn't like them and the Ferrari scent a woman waved at me in House of Fraser made me recoil with how foul it smelt.

I don't want anything from someone who makes clothes you might find in TK-Maxx (Ralph Lauren, Lacoste - other highstreet fashion brands), nor anything associated with a weekend millionaire/lower league footballer (which is the other problem with Creed.)

Quite specific, I know, but any ideas helpful!

Amouage Interlude is a good A/W fragrance, but it is quite potent so not sure if your missus would be moaning it's too strong? Certainly won't smell like anything from HoF/John Lewis.

For me, Armani Code Profumo is a go-to for winter (but that's out because of the Armani connection, I assume), Terre D'Hermes is good and Acqua di Parma Colonia whilst although being citrus, works well with colder winter temperatures.

Armani Code is a great smelling fragrance. Completely forgot about that one, might order one as a daily.

I'm not sure what is associated with a lower league footballer but from my personal experience of fragrances from scent samples I've tried over the last couple of weeks I can suggest:

Tierry Mugler - Pure Malt
Viktor & Rolf - Spicebomb
Gucci - Intense Oud

I've also really enjoyed YSL La nuit de l'homme but that might be more suited to evenings rather than during the day.

That's an evening fragrance imho. Very nice, though.

Tis. Good value to such is the performance of it; incredibly long lasting.

In the colder months I’d go for woody/tobacco/tonka/incense in scents.

A few I like along these lines are
Chanel Sycomore
Serge Lutens Chergui
Parfums de Marly Herod
Amouage Jubilation XXV
Federic Malle Monsieur
Tom Ford Oud Wood and Tobacco Vanille

All well worth a sample

A bit off-piste, I know, but Marc Jacobs 'Decadence' is a very seductive fragrance for any of the sexes. It should be worn with extreme caution.

Try it.

And if you try it on your wrist pulse, try not to fall in love with your wrist.

Just sayin'.... rolleyes

Finally bought some Creed Aventus after years of wincing at the price. 120ml for £183 in Dubai Duty free so not a bad price, I suppose. Still got buyers remorse, though! At least I smell good while I regret my purchase!

It'll replace my usual Terre D'Hermes which I've enjoyed for a while.

TF Oud Wood next on the cards!
Until you see the splits at £60 for 50ml unless you got the EDP?

Also, the girl im seeing said i should wear the TF Tob Van at night as its alot stronger and nicer than the Creed Av. She said she'd og Aventus by today and Tob Van by night. I wonder also if the strength is down to the Creed and Black orchid i have as being EDT instead of EDP?

I noticed it on the Creed website earlier this week, so have ordered some. Not yet dispatched but will report back when I get it.
DPD man just arrived with my bottle of Viking.

Reminds me of something but can't think what it is, will come to me in time.

I do like it, much more so than Millesime 1849 which was the last Creed I bought.
