Do you have a tattoo?

I got really close to booking my next handpoke this week but my bank account must've seen me messaging the artist as all the money evaporated.
Hopefully in a couple of weeks.
Going to be a portrait of iggy pop based on the Raw Power album cover. Done by the same person who did my Annihilation one.

The best thing for me about moving on to the boat is that I can’t spend my money on clothes, shoes and other household possessions. I can however spend my money on tattoos haha
in tomorrow for my shin, another session booked in a few weeks. Then end of May with Kyle Warwick. I’ll then have a break over summer so I can enjoy the weather and water sports etc.

The idea behind this was the 4 elements connected by geometry. A geeky nod to how mathematics runs through nature. I asked the artist to incorporate the symbols with the Fibonacci spiral/golden ratio and this is what he came up with.
Better pic from when it was done:

That's brilliant, I really like that - both the concept and the execution.Better pic from when it was done:

I've just booked for my shin too, but mines end of May. Would love to hear how you get on, I'm not sure whether it's gonna be super painful because bone, or fine because less squidgy bits.![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)

I remember shins not being particularly painful but occasionally the vibration travelled all the way up and rattled my fillings ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
Indeed. Shins are very buzzy. ![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
Can someone explain the recent fashion for multiple tattoos that look like they cost a fiver each?
Whilst I am not a massive fan of tats I can appreciate the art of some of them. But I am seeing a lot of beautiful young people with what can best be described as doodles all over them and I don’t understand what the thought process is.

Tattooing is a personal thing so I try and not s
t on other people’s collections.
Personally I prefer a collection of small pieces by a variety of artists to big pieces and sleeves.
I have seen a few artists I follow do sessions for people where they’ll fill an area with small designs in one go, which is cheating a bit
. as long as you like your tattoos though, that’s the important part.

I think its because tattoos are seen as rebellion, and therefore what do you do in a society where tattoos can be seen on old people? You can't rebel wearing something your mother or granny would wear.Whilst I am not a massive fan of tats I can appreciate the art of some of them. Easy, make your tattoo different from normal tattoos in some way. Hence the 'doodle' tattoo.

This seems like the best thread for this question. Has anyone ever had an existing, healed tattoo become raised and itchy for a short period?
I had my latest in June last year. Today I noticed my arm itching, like an insect bite kind of itch, and when I washed my arm I noticed a large section of the tattoo was raised.
After a few hours it has nearly returned to normal.
Yes, 14 years on this still happens randomly to mine, maybe once or twice a year or so, no idea what causes it (black ink). I had my latest in June last year. In other news my ear and face healed so quickly. The outline on my shin done Saturday has already healed. I may have booked on Thursday for an extra something…
