many regional dialects of the UK and further afield would have a T-glottal stop to some extent in the middle of centre, sen'er

most of Scotland would say Toon instead of town

and of course Dumfries is a bloody town, and Johnny is the Earl of...(apparently prefers his other tile of Bute, which is a Scottish island, as is Lewis...)
