Each to their own but one I keep going back to is Apple Bobbin. 70vg/30pg but I find it works in the Kanger subtank

I've already got a batch of 12mg and 6mg from there, I didn't really get on with it but I don't know if having steeped for 2 months they might have mellowed a little. I'll give them another try this week once the goodies arrive, I've just ordered some more from Paradise Vape and Vapemunki as well as they're known quantities if a little bland for my tastes.
6mg and 12mg juice in a subtank may be too much. I currently use 3mg

I didn't notice an appreciable difference between the 12mg and the 6mg, I found them both quite harsh in my Atlantis but they seemed much better in my Nautilus Mini, thought I couldn't really tell the difference between them. I mainly want to use it for when I'm in the car, I can mow my way through a packet of cigarettes in a 4 hours drive, hence getting the larger tank, but I'm starting to do more miles again so I need to cut down somehow! And to top it off I'm now back on Marlboro Reds from the Lights, so I'm wheezing away like an 80 year old man

^^^^^ Be interested in your choice of juice when you find one you like as I am also an x Marlboro red smoker, to be honest am strugling to find something I really like.
Problem is after a while they seem to start to lose the taste you get when you first start vaping that particular liquid, is this normal the taste seems to get milder and milder ?

IMO taste is a very subjective thing, do you have a cape shop near you?
I'm lucky in that I do and they are very good. Everything is available to test. I have never had any luck ordering online, things sound nice but aren't what you expect sometimes.
Personally I've always liked the thought of a custard flavoured juice but all that I have tried have been sickly and not what I imagine it to be.

Tried a couple of shops in the North East who let you try but they seem to stock the run of the mill tobacco stuff which tastes nasty.
Have bought some decent virginia tobacco and cigar flavored stuff online but the stuff kills the coils & wicks and seems to become flavorless after a short while vaping.
Just have to keep searching, the prob is you end up with dozens upon dozens of bottles you never use.

can you not get the recipes online and make your own?

I've made my own juices for over a year now rather than pay a lot of the over inflated prices in the stores.

Try something other than tobacco flavours would be my advice. Face it fags taste like st anyway. Personally I like anaseed and there are loads of juices that combine it in with other flavours that you would think are disgusting but actually work well.
Just try to think of something you like and there is more than likely something close, the only problem is that juice makers call their products stupid names sometimes.

I have a question about these temp control batteries, how do they get the temp feedback from the coil ?

Is it measured somwhere or just calculated by Ohms, Watts and Amps ?

Do these batteries require special coils or do they work with standards ?

Do you have a link to the batteries?

I've seen temp control mods but not batteries.

They work using nickel, or ni200, coils, which have a very consistent change in resistance as it gets hotter.

So you set the 'normal' position, saving the resistance of the coil when both it and the mod are at the same temp. Then it measures the changing resistance and throttles back on adding more watts to maintain the temp below the maximum.

Pbusardo calls them temp limiting mods instead of temp control, and he has a point. The idea is that the coil doesn't reach the maximum you've set, but instead in normal use it gets pretty close during a sustained drag.

Watching the screen whilst reading the fire button, the sampling rate is very high, and the amount of joules (watts per second) pushed into the coil varies a lot depending on how hot the coil is, yet every bloody pull is exactly the same.

Its more about overdoing the nicotine. The subtanks creates masses of vapour and on a direct lung inhale you will take so much more nicotine into your lungs, you may overdo the nicotine and feel light headed or get a buzz.

I've got around 40 bottles of juice in a cupboard that will probably never see the light of day again. I have the same issue as you in that the flavour just vanishes after a few hours, even using two tanks with two different flavours. My problem is that I prefer a much higher VG ratio, which rules out some of the suggestions for strong flavours as they tend to be 50/50 which I just can't vape. I've made a few enquires with some positive responses on changing the ratio on their products so I'll let you know what (if anything) I find.

I found the 12mg gave an inital buzz, similar to your first cigarette of the day, but the 6mg didn't do that at all, and that was in my Atlantis. I found them both a bit weak in my Nautilus Mini, it felt like I wasn't getting any nicotine at all

Hi guys - advice please! Looking for inspiration on some juice - wanting 50/50 vg/pg and a fruity mix with menthol/eucalyptus... Red Astaire jumps out, but pg is a bit high, although love the flavour... Tried Moira's Mix from Digby's, not fruity at all!

Off on holiday next week and have been told not to spend my money on Five Pawns (Absolute Pin), which I sampled and fell in love with recently! I find a lot of the juices I try are very one dimensional, but I can't explain this to the wife (who also vapes) without her actually trying it!

Just had some Heisenberg, which again is nice, but want a higher vg and more depth...

So... can anyone help!

(Disclaimer: I know flavours are personal and subjective and will in no way hold the person responsible if I/we do not like it!!) smile

Cotty, what coils do you go for?

I just purchased a subtank mini and 30w iStick as it's much easier to carry to work than the SX. A friend of mine uses the . 5 coils but they seem to burn out really quickly, so I bought the 1.2/1.4ohm coils instead. What's your usage been like with either?

I only use the 1.2ohm coils at 17w so not pushing hugh power through them. Im changing the coils every two weeks (could probbaly push them longer) but its not my only vape. I only use it in the evening and even then I have three flavours on the go in different devices.

DizzyN, I was having the same problem as your friend. I go through 2 tanks a day (9ml) and my 0.5 coils were only lasting 5 days.

I watched a video on YouTube last week on rewicking them and it is so easy. You simply pull out the old cotton, insert some new cotton and cut down to size. I tried it and the vape is excellent. Everything is exactly the same as the originals.

I know the coils have a shelf life but I'm currently on my 3rd bit of cotton on the same coil and the vape is still excellent at 0.5.

The cotton is cheap too and the whole job took less than 5 minutes. Get your friend to check out the YouTube videos, well worth a shot.

Replying to my own thread! Decided to try a new company (to me) - Lancashire Steam Company - Gone for 10ml of Boiler Watter and Governess and 30ml of the Little Moscow... Seems to get good reviews, so fingers crossed!!

I didn't like the fruity flavours from Lancashire Steam Company so passed them onto a colleague, he loved them.

Boiler Watter is nice but not an all day vape for me
