Liking that jacket, where is it from?
Feraud. From ASOS. I frequently see this brand in TK Maxx too. Decent quality, can't complain for less than £60. Sorry, sold out (unless you can get away with a 36)

A question for shirt people:

As an avid gym enthusiast, who has somehow managed to refrain from posting all about it on every single internet site ever, I have developed an awkward bodyshape when it comes to shirts. I like a well fitted shirt, so does anyone have any recommendations on where to find such a thing for one of those nauses that eats beef jerky and drinks diet coke in the pub?

I'm also rather tall.

And hate ironing.

Does anyone here shop at Reiss?

I buy quite a lot from them and have been having a lot of problems with their tops of late. They look great until they are washed, and then they either hole, shrink or look like they're years old. Anyone else had the same experience?

If you are in good shape or better you will not find an off the peg shirt that fits you how you want.

There are a few MTM companies where you send your measurements, your order is made up in Vietnam (or wherever) and three weeks later you receive your shirts at (seemingly) a very reasonable price. I have no experience of these companies but it seems both a better and cheaper idea than altering existing garments.

I have done in the past. Had a cracking grey wool coat which my pals thought was a women's jacket (because it was fitted at the waist- fannies!) but got a lot of positive comments from ladies, including a seamstress commenting on the cuff detail in a pub.

On the other hand I've a lightweight cotton summer number, which has gone that faded way that looks like it's 10 years old. Tried dying it black again but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Re the wedding I'm thinking pink trews, white shirt (ideally with a texture to it), no tie, no jacket, sleeves rolled up. Shoes undecided.

I'm expecting heat- not sure if I should be though. AFAIK it's in a house, not masses of people going and zero available women (well one but I'm not counting her) so what I look like really isn't much of an issue.

I'm reasonably skinny and find their extra slim shirts too tight. The slim fit however is spot on.

I'd wear a jacket as well for an extra element of formality (especially for a wedding). If it's too hot, you can always take it off.

I'm 6' 1" and 32" waist/42" chest and find the 16.5" extra slim spot on.

So it seems pink trousers are mostly to be found in the clearance sections... laugh

I've got a pair of Polo pinkies and some dodgy brown moccasins in a basket. Not quite hit the button yet.

pink trousers are a bridge too far. Red chinos yes, but if you're wearing another lairy colour in combination with them then you're flying too close to the timmy mallet lightbulb

I did just see a pair that looked bright pink but they said red so my screen is lying to me and I've not got time to fanny about with returns. I'm going for pastel pink and a white shirt, sleeves rolled, no tie, no jacket, possibly untucked.

I feel like a woman here. It's only the fact it's abroad that's throwing me, otherwise I'd have it nailed on.

abroad requires an entire different wardrobe. I have abroad trousers that i would never. ever. consider evening removing from the cupboard in the UK!

The pink trousers have been bought.

Fortunately as they are pink and clearly not that popular I haven't had to spend much. Which is good seeing as I'll likely never wear them again. Certainly not in Glasgow anyway. smile

I'm 6`4, don't know what my current chest size is tbh. Last time I measured it was at 54". Waist is 34/36 depending on what I've eaten. laugh

I'll check CT out, thanks for the suggestion. Although I may go for the slim.

If you have a 54" chest, you won't be fitting into a slim-fit shirt.
