My surname is Carr. Though not as bad as Bates, so some blessings. We ran a naming sweepstakes with our first child, with all the obvious ones coming up. The leading suggestion for many months was Cabel, due to being a bit different but still good.
A Scottish friend nabbed it right at the end with Bryony though. (Wee Bryony Carr.)
