So many "crikey!" facts from that article, after getting away from the bad guys, taking off from a stadium in a plane that has friggin rockets welded (in 3 weeks) to the side of it from a surface to air missile, you have the landing ON AN AIRCRAFT CARRIER to look forward to, ohh and the pilot can't see out the front when he's landing because there's another set of rockets welded to the front of the plane melting his face off.

I think I'd have just taken my chances and stayed, "noo it's fine, on you go, I'll stay thanks"

Amazing amount of effort which was for nothing other than the loss of 8 US lives and one civilian.

Hindsight is 20/20, but come one, check the weather and the impact that might have on the operation.
