No safety catch on them guns one in the chamber and fired when he went to pick up.

Indeed...he might have blown his own brains out.

Crikey! He shot someone shoot

"An off-duty FBI agent accidentally shot a bystander in the leg when his gun fell from its holster as he cavorted on the dance-floor of a bar in Denver, Colorado, police said."

Its a privilege to watch a professional demonstrate safe gun use.

Safely store gun in pants
Dance like only a white man can
Shoot an innocent man
Jazz hands

Yes, I realise that. But guns don't just "go off". I meant, what sequence of events caused an unintended discharge? How did the safety come off, how did the firng mechanism get activated, why was there a round in the breach.
my wife asked me the same!

It looks to be a Glock, which has no safety other than Glock's own "safe action" trigger, which did it's job in terms of preventing an accidental discharge from the fall itself. Of course the guy should have known better than to have his finger anywhere near the trigger when grabbing it from the floor, but his head was gone it seems. The trigger action itself is a "double action trigger" which should take a fair bit of travel to discharge, however it's quite common for this to be modified to shorten the pull. It's not unusual for guys to have one in the chamber either.

Can we stop talking about the hapless CIA bloke (there's a thread for that) and go back to posting GIFs please?

There's a lovely face-palm by Judge Judy GIF on Twitter. Can anyone tell me how to extract it, please?

The only problem with that method is that it relies on the image being available on a third-party site and them allowing hot-linking.

Far better to save it and use the PH uploader. Yes, it's crap (beta lol), but at least with some kind of commercial linkup between PH and Thumbsnap the images should still be here in a week/month/year etc., even if there is a change of host (you'd hope there would be a migration, lot of value in the photos in many threads).

You only have to look at old threads where different hosts were used to see how much gets lost if the third party host closes/changes their URLs/blocks hot links.
