This picture doesn't do it justice.
These are the stairs up to the Officers Accommodation on the ship I work on. Built in Britain.
It's almost as if halfway through installation someone thought about changing it to spiral staircase and then gave up.These are the stairs up to the Officers Accommodation on the ship I work on. Built in Britain.
(I do agree that they look like stairs 'down from' rather than 'up to' )

from the frivolous purchase thread
..and why's it on this thread?Thread's getting silly now.
(Unless you mean the scrutineer guy in the background who's overalls don't match?)
Unless they are just nicking the wheels and syphoning the tank... Do they sell 1/8 scale bricks to rest the brakes on?

stupidly expensive coffee grinder that someone posted on a coffee machines thread
Times may be hard, but £28 stupidly expensive?Overpriced maybe, considering it's Chinese origins.
A
(I do agree that they look like stairs 'down from' rather than 'up to' )I thought many ship stairwells are designed to be able to go 'up' if the vessel has capsized. Hence why it looks down...Apart from being on the piss, these are magic stairs that go both ways. I meant, as you well know , the same pitch regardless of which way up/down the vessel is.Obviously the relative angle of the stair line to the associated landings would be the same whatever happened, but exactly how would you use that stair if the ship was upside down?
Oh, and that is clearly a stair going down, unless one is going up it.
