Anyone into trainers/sneakers?

Typical isn't it. My one and only raffle win and I'm not keen on them.
They are too much like hiking shoes for my liking.
Same here. Not 100% keen. They are too much like hiking shoes for my liking.
They’re a cool shape and quite comfortable but I think I’d sell up and wait until the 55’s and get them in a better Colourway.

I think if I returned a raffle win I might get blacklisted. Not worth it.
I really hope you are joking!! Does anyone know how this stuff works?Surely that illegal anyway? Yes no one is ever going to investigate them but surely these large companies wouldn't sanction actions like that?
For the last few weeks I have been thinking if there is a gap in the market for a trainer shop for enthusiasts. Specifically catering to collectors and enthusiast.

I've heard Nike blacklisting accounts because addresses don't match or multiple accounts using the same card. Nike also block specific proxy servers and VPNs.
Try it, spend more than 10 mins clicking around Nike. com and you'll get error messages.

Swapped out the laces for ones that (near enough) match the turquoise on the soles and with black trainer socks and I'm much happier. The dark blue laces they come with don't match
and are brittle, cheap and horrible.
Anyone in two minds about them, change the laces for some that match!
I will get some laces that match the turquoise on the sole exactly, in due course.

My idea would eliminate them (re-sellers) completely, it would be a site/store dedicated to peoples love for trainers. It would also be completely transparent e.g. Nike React Elements we have 200 pairs in this size split ...

As for specialist shops Josh, unfortunately I imagine we as a group of trainer geeks are still relatively small. You’d need to sell all the bread and butter stuff and then get the exclusives, like End, Size?, Offspring etc. Plus with all the reselling sites and StockX etc I don’t think it would be a goer... would love to be proved wrong as think it’s a great concept, just in reality...

Even with StockX, it's killing independent resellers.
Take the React Element for example, why would I buy from someone on Facebook or eBay selling at £180-200 when they're £130-£150 on StockX. You not only get the safety of StockX but they're cheaper.
StockX also don't let you choose the price you want to sell at, they pick the price.
Breakdown on the Nike React Element Solar Red in a US 10 is as follows:
I'm in a similar to position to GameFace and don't like the pair I got. Looked into selling them to avoid doing a return and it would mean letting them go for less than retail and loosing out.

Oh 100%, I would be trying to distance myself from stockx as much as possible, I would hope to offer a completely different experience, I believe they call themselves the stock market of trainers, as if shoes are an investment, its mad. I would be about community, discussion, trends and fair opportunities to get trainers you like!As for specialist shops Josh, unfortunately I imagine we as a group of trainer geeks are still relatively small. For me its not all about Limited Releases however, my favourite pair of shoes are a GR that went on sale!
I feel SNS have got a lot of things right, and deliver a good buying and browsing experience. Size? have an amazing thing going with Adidas, however I feel they may loose this as the Adidas Originals community are getting tired of Size?.
I wouldn't know where to start in taking it forward and physically doing something about it however. Thinking about it and doing it are massively different.

On my site, you would return them, I would sell them at retail again! Just like the good old days.joshcowin said:
