I may have had a wee dram or two last night.
Now enjoying haggis and square sausage for breakfast.
That's a lawn sausage if ever I saw one. biggrin

So what are you doing in Poole?

So what you're saying slopes, is that you arrive at work looking like a 12 year old boy dressed in an anorak and glowing like you've just returned from Chernobyl???? yikes

I did the same. There were more anoraks than duffle coats though.
Probably why so many kids are anoraxic.

You give 'em a hearty bowl of warm gloop and then send them off to get abducted by a lorry driver:

Impeccable taste in music, Bobbers. Prince Charles was also a fan of theirs.

When will we see you again?

Poole! yikes
That explains why I am the only one wearing a kilt.

So that probably wasn't bagpipes that I heard last night.

Is that a green Mk1 Escort or Hillman Avenger at the back?

Grill looks Avenger and I’d guess the car in front is the same model.
Yup, Avenger. If it had round headlights it would be a Marina.
I know they were from BL but they’re not related engine or body wise. Quite distinct shapes and one of them wasn’t a piece of crap from new! (I’ve owned numerous Marinas and even the 1.8. All crap).
I nearly bought an Ital but that was even worse.

My mum had a yellow Avenger Tiger. Don’t remember it being fast but she later told us “boy racers” always tried to get her to race.

nono

I was being facetious. Every era of cars have cars with style similarities with other cars from the same era. The Avenger from the Routes group and later Chrysler was similar in style to the Marina from BL.

Some of your jokes really don't work, do they?

I know. It's called suffering for your art.

Only one out of four ads I viewed depicted a kid wearing a duffle coat*. The rest had anoraks/kagools/waxed jackets etc.

So Bobbers was 300% more correct than I.

No disrespect intended towards your virtual hug but actual physical sensations do it for me.

A few spline twisting launches in something quick off the mark would cheer me up better.

Although we could try a real hug if no one's about. See how that goes.

Incidentally, before I pop off, what was the car that our Tone was sat in in that pic? Was it a Maserati? Whatever it was, it has a nice shapely haunch, smile
