Get in there lad! I'm guessing she didn't say sorry I have a husband so that's good news. All you can do is sit back and wait. There's a reason why it's best to get the girls number rather than give her yours, but in this circumstance the note with your number on was the best way to do it. Good luck!

More smiles and some laughter.

Paid for my stuff and as she gave me my change I pushed my neatly folded crisp white note across and said 'Can I just give you this'. She put it away, smiled and I said 'Thanks see you later', she said 'Bye' and went on to the next customer.

She didn't seem surprised at all, didn't flinch or seem awkward, almost as if she knew it was coming, I guess she's sat there now wondering what's in the note just as I'm sat here now wondering if I'll get that date.

I feel like a love struck teenager again! It's proper butterflies in the tummy stuff - I thought I'd left all those emotions behind years ago.

I'm so glad I managed to finally initiate something, it was wrecking my head going in there everyday and she wasn't there.

Hopefully I'll know in an hour or two as her shift ends at 2.

Don't bank on her messaging you straight away. She'll know the suspense is killing you. Try your best not to keep looking at your phone every 10 seconds.

Nah, I'd already done my research there with one of her colleagues last night - that's how I knew to be in when she was on shift, I know she's separated but can't confirm if she is seeing anyone.

I guess at our age you tend to not go out with people just for the sake of it, she seems totally confident in herself and I can imagine you don't start something unless there is that spark.
