You'll have to watch it.........it's the episode with Donald Pleasence where he was the owner of a vineyard.

This is from the MIL, last yr.

We'd booked a holiday cottage for a few days, MIL and her pet dog were accompanying us. Space in car was tight so I did a 'pre pack' of the boot, and delivered a decent size but suitable wheeled case to her. The morning of the trip I went over to collect her, bag was remarkably light, congrats elderly relative on economical packing.

Popped it in the boot............ only to be followed by a dozen carrier bags full of stuff!

I suspect PR is not familiar with the usual course of the Columbo series, in that the murder is nearly always seen at the start of the programme,& we see how the shabby detective gets to solve it

I was looking at the Covid infections in the local rag where it gives the number per 100k (in effect a percentage). Anyway, there's a local village that, for some reason or other, is a hotspot (more than double anywhere else local). I said to my wife, "how weird that that village has 600 per 100,000 (0.6%) compared to everywhere else. You guessed it: she said it can't be true because there aren't 100,000 people in that village!

Driving to our dog walking parking spot, I put the touchscreen display on so it shows the economy graph which looks a bit like this after a long motorway journey home - then lots of short trips.

---------- --------
--------
--------
---------

"That's because you've been sat on the sofa"
"uh?"
"Your fitbit thing never lies, you've just been sat watching TV"

So apparently my fitbit can upload the number of steps I take in to the car system now. And display it in MPG.
I'm off for a lie down.
(again)

eta - this is what the graph should have looked like before PH.com decided to add it's own special formatting

I like her thinking.

Sat last night reading, and Mrs.T66 asks what the Cyrillic alphabet is. We got onto the subject of scripts, and the origins of the Roman/Cyrillic alphabets.

She pondered for a moment.

"What was the big land mass called when all the countries were stuck together?"

"Pangaea," I replied.

"That's probably why there's more people in Asia then, as that's where everyone was before it broke up."

It's all about timing.

Wife had to go to A&E today to get an X-ray on her latest seldging injury.

Doc: "It's not broken, but there is damage, so we'll refer you to the Virtual Fracture Clinic"
Her: "Is a Virtual Fracture bad?"

You could try Virtual Seldging at first but be careful, it's a slippery slope to full on Seldging.
Better stay home like Boris the Buffoon tells you to.

Watching the Dolly Parton documentary that was on a few nights ago, wifey was gushing about how much she loved her, the size of her boobs were also noted.

After 15 minutes she remarks

Such a shame that she died.
Eh? She's not dead is she?
Yeah, that's why she left Eastenders because she was ill
What? .... Are you thinking of Barbara Windsor?
Yes - that's her on TV
That's not cockney landlady Barbara Windsor, its probably the most famous country singer in the world, Dolly Parton
Oh, I wondered why she was talking differently

Give me strength!
