My neighbours ( both sides ) who I overheard talking about me earlier ( they didn't notice me working on my car in the driveway )

They are both keen gardeners, and were whingeing about my garden not being as spick & span as theirs, and that is had been "at least 3 weeks" since I trimmed the hedges which overhang the pavement rolleyes

They can't seem to understand that not everyone is as keen as they are to spend every last moment possible faffing around in the garden

Being a good, English fellow, you just kept your head down and avoided eye contact, right? hehe

When you ask for a Recommendation on a Facebook group, and people click "Like" on it without comment. So you "like" that fact that I am asking for a recommendation? But you're not prepared to make one? banghead

(Others have made recommendations, btw. It's just the people who clicked "like" without comment who annoy / confuse me)

Or - in some groups wink - 'thanks for making an interesting contribution'.

Lost drivers who drive really slowly, then indicate, deciding not to turn at the last moment. They then drive slowly - instead of stopping to work out where they are,
Every driver in the history of motoring has done this, or something very similar, when lost / looking for an address etc. One should always be prepared for all types of driver.

Of course - though in a previous encounter with the old biddie who lives to the left she complained to me that the height of my hedge "stopped her seeing what people down the road are doing" ( she's a master curtain-twitcher ). I simply replied that I'd rather look out onto greenery and flowers than be able to see the house opposite - and anyway I couldn't trim it as there were several birds nesting in it.

Doesn't this also widen the distribution of the question to the friends of the "liker" so that more people can answer?

I've never understood why they can't hear the engine, see the white reversing light and actually notice 1.5 tons of steel. The worst offenders are people who are crossing the road, look up, make eye contact, and STILL cross when there is clearly insufficient time.

Last week a woman walked into my C pillar when I was SO far into the space that I was at the point of turning the wheel full to the right to finish the move, this was at super slow speed (foot slightly releasing the brake in an auto)

Is it wrong of me that I felt vaguely pleased with myself for having no idea to what this post referred until I googled it?
After googling it, I think that it merits a mention in the 'council' thread.
