We just made - and ate most of - an impromptu bread and butter pudding.

It was spiffing.

One of the few things better than bread and butter pudding is a bread and butter pudding you weren't expecting.

I spent far more money than I meant to on plants yesterday. And then spent far longer than I meant to in the garden sorting them out.

I could do with a day off today sleep

Either the Triv-O-Meter is playing up or this is genuinely off the scale trivial.

Setting the standard for the day this is going to be hard to beat.

Spent the weekend fettling a recalcitrant sump. put it all back together and the engine made a terrible racket like the big ends had gone. Off comes the sump again to find the oil pickup pipe was just touching a big end. All sorted but knackered - I think I may have a virus as the car is continually demanding more money to run ok

Heard a story last week about an old SL Merc. It was advertised absurdly cheaply. The chap telling me the story said he arranged with the lady owner to go and look at it and found a pride-and-joy SL waiting for him. The lady answered the door and said the car had developed an engine fault, she spent a fortune having it repaired but driving it home a new knocking noise had started. That was it; it had to go. "There's the car. It has the engine problem. Don't look all over it. Don't start it. Don't drive it. If you want it, buy it and take it away." So he did.

A belt had frayed and the rag end was hitting something. He reckoned it was the best car deal he ever did or was ever likely to do.

It's utterly chucking it down here - Yesterday I was in shorts and T Shirt. Gotta love the British weather

On another tack, the shorts I was wearing were a perfect fit - In the shop, however, they are clearly supposed to be shorter (high on the thigh length as opposed to just above the knee). I'm 5'8 with, apparently, short arse legs.

I went diving for the first time in my life last night, I dived down the stairs although I would have preferred to walk and I was carrying a glass which for some reason I held onto while it broke frown

Bruised ribs and cut hand.

Everything hurts today.

Urgh, sat waiting around for my connection in T5 for the 4th time in 7 days

I may as well just setup camp in here a la The Terminal ... wouldn't mind a bit of Zeta-Jones ... I assume she is part of the deal if/when I set up camp

Compared with Allanv's post about diving down the stairs whilst holding a glass I think it counts as truly trivial

Ouch fella, hope it stops hurting soon

Forget that the glass broke and just remember that you held on to your drink. You know we admire a chap who can hold his drink.

Some time back, I tripped going upstairs with a plastic beaker of milk if that's any good?

It was for the granddaughter. (The milk, not the acrobatics).
