That long, rambling post about suits was a real highlight. What a pretentious toss pot.
Seems like men who dont end up leasing an S Line A3 or a 2 series end up buying clothes from Ye Olde Clothe. To laugh at the utterly ridiculous 'style' PH posters appear to aspire to!

You make a fool of yourself over on NP&E. These folks like to talk about how they dress. To laugh at the utterly ridiculous 'style' PH posters appear to aspire to!

What possesses you, having (at length) made clear your lack of interest in how you dress, to take pot shots at somebody posting a photo of their wardrobe on a thread pertaining to same is beyond me - but I rather suspect it's what drives you to argue with your shadow in NP&E.

I take it that is aimed at me so I shall respond. I am lucky enough to be able to afford to buy bespoke fitted Savile Row hand made suits. However, when I was younger I could not dream of spending like that. The post was aimed at taking all of the things that make a bespoke Savile Row suit what they are and point out all the things you can look for on an off the peg suit or how to have it altered so it looks as expensive and well fitting as it can nothing more. Advice that I would have liked to have heard when I was buying off the peg suits. Oh and for the record. I do not own any sports jackets or tweed outfits

- yawn*
So many people with stupidly inflated opinions of themselves, not to mention some ridiculously dated little Englander xenophobic and racist views. It's bloody laughable. But it amuses me hugely. I've never come across a place where people post such fantasy and ridiculously over-inflated opinions of themselves!

Trabi. Give it a rest. You're really boring.
Not half as boring as the 20-30 year olds who are dressing like pensioners!I mean, I know PH has a very unique demographic, but the shoes and gentleman threads are just utterly laughable.
Talk about old before your time!
My wardrobe is extensive. Sitting under the tweed I have 2 pairs of Converse high tops (1x blue 1x red) and 3 pairs of Nike high tops that I wear on a regular basis when I don't need to dress well/more formally. Plenty of T Shirts, pairs of jeans and hoodies as well. I even wear a beanie hat (hipster). Sometimes I'll mix tweed with Converse (double hipster).
This is a thread about more formal clothing. It seems it's not suited (lol ) for you and that's fine.
I'm not sure what you gain from denigrating others apart from making yourself look somewhat immature and foolish.

Given this, I'd suggest you reassess continuing to post on this thread. It helps no-one and only serves to confirm your perceived status as a troll. To laugh at the utterly ridiculous 'style' PH posters appear to aspire to!

This is it for me with trolls, do they honestly think that anyone is impressed? We are all thinking utter, utter prat every time they post.Amusingly, you both like Red Converse though

As indicated elsewhere, I thought it an excellent summation that covered all the main/important points.Oh and for the record. I do not own any sports jackets or tweed outfits
As you say Craig "Advice that I would have liked to have heard when I was buying off the peg suits." and would go for me too, going back a few years.
So much money that could have been better spent.

Indeed. I was looking at some photos of me from about 18 years ago the other day and in two I was wearing suits. One made me look so square and boxy it was laughable and the other was a three button coat and you could see how short it was making me look because I am under 6ft Just reading the long post about suits:
The trousers should sit on your true waist which for most people means that the waistband will be over their belly button. The bottom button of a two button suit should also be at this point.
Really? How many people are wearing suits with the waistband on their belly button nowadays?
