Getting serious now

River Teme drier than a nuns' chuff

Severn is low at Gloucester, I'll have a ganders at it tomorrow at Upton if I get the chance.

That aside, the heat wave has gone on long enough. Need some rain.

Drier than Ghandi s flip-flop in MK. Feels more humid than before. Still loving it though. Someone said its too hot earlier. Had a massive urge to punch them.

I'll say it again; It is too hot.

Bloody hate it, we are supposed to have a Goldilocks maritime climate, neither too hot nor too cold, but just right. This is just wrong and it is getting hotter.

I absolutely love it. But then again I'm one of those sissies that drives their air conditioned car to the air conditioned office.

Saying that, there's been plenty of times I've been doing manual labour in 30+ degrees. Loved it less, but preferred it to the driving rain.

I'm not a fan. Everything is still on fire. Some cloud forecast in the next week at least.

What does that mean? Rain or no rain?

All these miserable buggers can go and do one - keep this sun coming. It's ace!

Typical, planning a weekend in Wales that weekend, so rain seems likely.

Don't worry about a thing, that's not the real temp, just from being parked up. It'll be down to circa 30 after a couple of miles.

I've been in Italy ,really hot last weekend and early this week ,thunderstorm on Wednesday morning as I prepared to leave.

Then changeable weather for the 2 day road trip back ,with epic rain in Luxembourg yesterday afternoon.

The convertible hood was rarely in the right place for long ,got bored of stopping to open or close it.

Alas not with that rev limit, it's mk.5 Golf TDI. For whatever reason the mileage and trip numbers fade in hot weather or after a long journey. But the most important thing is the air con works.

D'oh. zero points for observation for me.

Blame the heat and three night's poor sleep.

So...any chance of that wet stuff anytime soon? I'm on the south coast.

None currently. Models hinting more strongly that the high pressure period ends in around 10 days. But that's outside the reliable forecasting period.

It will be a fair bit cooler now though. Pleasantly warm.

Today is the hottest day in England so far this year.
