I bought a Gen 4 Echo Dot (without clock) with a smart plug bundle for £30.
Although not part of Prime Day, I also bought a wall mount for my Gen 2 Dot so I can have it plugged into my hallway plug socket to control the hallway light as I enter.
They were selling the Echo Flex for £9.99 which seemed like a good deal and is a neater solution if it is visibleAlthough not part of Prime Day, I also bought a wall mount for my Gen 2 Dot so I can have it plugged into my hallway plug socket to control the hallway light as I enter.

I've got a couple already and quite like them. They are really neat, but the sound quality really takes a hit as a result. Even the voice responses sound awful compared to a Dot, let alone trying to use them for music.
I use them as the equivalent to the discontinued Echo input to enable multiform music through good speakers as not all Echo devices can do this.
For example, in my kitchen I've got an Echo Show connected to a pair of bluetooth speakers. It works fine until I want to play music to a group of Echo devices. Amazon seem to have disabled that function for some reason, so now I have an Echo Flex connected wired directly to the speakers with wake word changed. It would be a bit extravagant to have two devices in one room, but at £9.99 it seems reasonable..

Isnt it basically get an Alexa into your house day for Amazon ?
I am not a tin foil hatter but it does seem like they will give them away to get them out there.

They didn't discount the top one such as the studio, as they will sell themselves on merit.
Amazon are always discounting these echos to get them sold, as it's in there interests to get them into consumers homes.

FireTV Cube for the TV, Echo Show 5 in bedroom as alarm clock, Dots in kitchen and back bedroom/WFH office, one Dot disconnected as I replaced a Dot and FireTV with the Cube. The old FireTV (and a Fire tablet) will be going to CEX at some point when I go to town into shops and where the people are. The spare Dot is worth basically nothing at CEX so I might pass it to my dad.

I don't think that's paranoid, it's a fair assessment of the Kindle/Fire/Echo business model. I upgraded from an old Fire 7 to a new Fire HD 8, and got a 1st gen Echo Show for the workshop - at the price it was almost worth it just to have a mains powered clock that stays at the right time. That it also works as a Spotify doodad is a bonus.I am not a tin foil hatter but it does seem like they will give them away to get them out there.
I also finally upgraded my main tablet from a Galaxy Tab S3 to an S7 - combination of the Amazon discount, the Samsung cashback, and the trade-in value of the S3 tipped the balance. The S3 still works perfectly well, but the battery life isn't what it used to be. Now I'm just deciding between the £90 I can get for the S3, and keeping it for, erm, well, I'll think of something.

Got my Galaxy buds and just filled in the Samsung cash back claim form. They wanted a screenshot of the receipt (Amazon email) and a photo of the serial number sticker on the box. Now I wait and hope I filled it in properly (there are 5 serial numbers on the sticker, I hope I typed in the right one). I've had a go of them and they stay in pretty well and sound fine so far.
Mine arrive tomorrow, if the cash back doesn't down I'll be returning them. Does anyone know if the seller being Amazon EU s.a.r.l. have an impact?
