For what it costs i am massively impressed. Tis to heavy but easy to get used to that, maybe just need to check inflation levels spot on.

Apache canoes... Or, if you're feeling spendy, the Solway Dory Quetico.

Fibreglass is so much better than plastic or inflatable for "proper" use. Stupidly tough, really easy to repair if necessary, really fine angles, and light.

Can then go fancy with ash/oak inwhales and outwhales, cane woven seats, etc.
Cheers Sway smile

Presumably you then need a roof rack though, inflatable makes a lot of sense for occasional use.

I noticed the other day that Decathlon had half a dozen different variants of inflatable kayak, but oddly I've never seen anyone using one around here. Loads of kite boarders, stand up paddle boarders, surfers and the occasional wind surfer, so I'm surprised I never see a kayak. I'd have thought inflatable would be ideal for the sea as even if you capsize or swamp it it's not going to sink. Do they flex too much in the waves?
This is where i’m at as well. The decathlon ones look to pack pretty small and it could live in the boot of the LR. I live a 2min walk from the sea but never seen anyone kayaking in it, just kite surfers and SUP(ers?) as you mention. Hence I’m not sure if it’ll get used as there are no rivers or lakes in the UAE.

I should probably buy a kite surfing rig instead hehe

Running watch broke... so just ordered a new Garmin Forerunner 245 Music. Heart rate sensor, and music storage so I can go phone free when I go out for a run, works in the pool, and has some smart watch functions/all day tracking etc. It's pretty small too!

Then of course I need some bluetooth headphones. I was hugely sceptical, but trialled these bone conducting Aftershokz Trekz Air in the store and the effect was extraordinary. Hopefully they'll be ok on the move too.

Can't wait! Have been wanting my other watch to die for a couple of years!!
Those Aftershokz Headphones are great until you want to wear sunglasses as well...

I use the 1000x in the gym every day of the week and haven't had any problems.

Honestly though I would not bother with them from a noise cancellation POV, the isolation is very good but the noise cancellation mostly causes connection problems and shortens the battery life although I have used it occasionally on flights and in hostels.

1000x are a first gen product and it shows.
they your fave ones for t'gym?
And good for flights too?

Hmmm they are ok. The track on the demo unit in the shop was definitely chosen to show their best qualities - Vocals and synths are good, beats and bass not so much. Might be because I've been using wired Bose sound sport headphones for a while.

Being able to hear like normal while the songs are playing inside your head is an interesting experience! I wouldn't buy again, but wouldn't send them back. I suppose if you're really safety conscious and want to hear the world around you and get some tunes at the same time, while not expecting best sound quality they are a good choice.

I think they'll be ok for running outside, but in the gym where you just want to block out the piped in music, treadmill noise etc they'll be hopeless... so true to this thread I now need another pair of wireless bluetooth headphones laugh

You are right about the sound quality; especially when compared to Bose sound sports. I have high freq deafness and I can hear better through bones So i guess they bypas the bits in my ear that don’t work too well.

I use them for daily 5 k runs so I can hear traffic around me better than my Bose or a pair of Bluetooth ear buds https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07JLZX7RS/ref...

Which for the price are amazing for running and discrete enough for work where I keep a second pair.

The problem with the bone ones is sunglass arms interfere with the ear hook and lift the conductive pad.

I notice it’s possible to get sunglasses and bone headphones combined but I’d rather have one or the other.

Does it count as frivolous that I have chosen a car almost because it was an ex-Police car rather than a non-Police variant of the same car?
