My chargers are all here next to my PC so can keep an eye out when they get fully charged.
I also tend to turn all my batteries off at night.
Somthing different regarding the kanger occ coils, have tried a few times to rewick them with different types of cotton and still cannot get them as good as the original, am baffled as I recoil and rewick everything else successfully.
Have even boiled the organic cotton to make sure it has no impurities.
Its not the cost of the things as I only tend to change them every 10 days or so, more the failing part that has annoyed me.

Or maybe buy a timer for the plug so it is not on all night
Now that is a good plan and so simple I'd totally overlooked it! How long would one wager a full charge is? A few hours max?

Only sadness is almost immediately making redundant the nice and neat dual USB plug socket I had fitted specially by my bed to charge my phone and e-cig each night and resorting to a big old timer plug socket, USB adapter off the back and a USB lead from that! Still, aesthetics or the risk of a house fire aren't really a battle are they now!

I use a bloody expensive charger that monitors everything and prevents the conditions that could lead to fire.

It's even got a 'night' mode, where the charging current is reduced so it has even more opportunity to intervene prior to failure.

Key for me was a CE mark on an instruction book that stated it was safe for unattended use.

Sway, are you referring to a charger as per Cotty's link?

Despite being a fairly established vaper I have never really dug into the whole geek side of it so use very basic gear (istick) which has built in batteries. I'd love to expand beyond that into all this tech but its way over my head and even the names of pieces of equipment send shivers down my spine so feel I might be a lost cause.

Quite simply lots of mods use an 18650 battery (18650 referring to the physical size). Even the istick, fast forward to 21.49 in this link to see.

What some mods do is give you a door or removable panel allowing you to quickly swap in a charged battery, handy of you are away from a charging point. Here are a couple of mine both with Kanger subtank mini tank. The left is a 30w istick which I charge via UBS, the white one you can see has a door on the right hand side for you to swap the battery. but it also allows you to leave the battery in and charge it via UBS so best of both worlds, it has become my most used mod. If you can handle an istick you can handle this, same three buttons.

This is the one I have http://www.nitecore.co.uk/Shop/Products/Batteries-AND-Cha...

As said, 18650 is the norm, the dimensions are in the name, so 18mm diameter and 65mm length. Another common size for smaller mods is 18350, with a proportional drop in capacity. That charger will do either.

Batteries from torchyboy, I got great service after a recommendation on here.

Great stuff thanks Cotty, apart from you omitted to say what the white one is?! Once identified I will get one ordered.

Also the subtank minis; how do they compare capacity wise with the mini Nautilus I have been using. I used to have a standard Nautilus until I smashed the glass and I liked the size of the tank as I would have to refill only once a day. It was, however, a big old unit.

I think what I would ideally like is a big unit for when at home and one of these palm size ones that have a decent enough battery and tank for a night out where the tank is incorporated into the unit rather than sat on top. Any recommendations on that front? Another consideration is that I only want bought coils, wont be mucking about making my own and would be a bonus if they were all the same type rather than having to buy umpteen different coil styles.

Appreciate your input, I started with the CF Aspire stick and K1 cos of your posts a while back, moved to a 20W istick and the Nautilus and then mini when I moved up a level and now I fancy the home and play latest stuff...

White Mod is a Subox, the kit linked comes with the subtank as well, its a lung hit tank in my opinion as even on the smallest air holes, it's too airy to be satisfying mouth to lung like the nautilus.

I also went from K1 to Nautilus and then on to Subtank, it worked very nicely as a progression to lung hits and a more enjoyable vape.

I now use a UD Goblin mini Tank as I only rebuild my own coils and the dual coil set up is very very nice.

Thank you.

I am a bit confused in your comparison though, you say the subtank is a tank that is too airy to be satisfying like the nautilus but then go on to say you have progressed from K1 to Nautilus to Subtank as a progression that was a more enjoyable vape. So is the subtank an improvement over the nautilus or less satisfying as you earlier sentence alluded to?

I have a 100ml order from LSC, and thought I may as well include 10ml of this.

This could be, erm, interesting.

Its a different type of vape that some prefer. Think of it like sucking on a McDonalds straw with nothing on the other end. So if you draw the vapour into your mouth then inhale it rather then inhaling directly into your lungs, its probably not the tank for you which is why I did not name it or recommend it to you.

Just invested in the aspire Triton 2 tank and the 70watt Pegasus box mod including the charger plate for added safety.

Still love my mini Nautilus and will continue to use it, only the curve battery pack which has started to let me down.

Will let you know how I get on.

I have the first Triton tank and really like it. I really want the Pegasus and charger plate but it feels like I have too much gear at the moment.

Just spotted the Aspire Proteus and found a shop near Petticoat Lane that sells hookah pipes

As Cotty says above, it's just a different way of taking the vapour back - It's not like having a cigarette where the vapour collects in your mouth before you take it back into your lungs, you just miss out that stage completely. For me, this is much more enjoyable (I never did like the harsher throat hit that comes with mouth to lung) but if that's the feeling that helps you not want a cigarette as well as the nicotine, it may not be for you.

Thanks guys. Never stopped to think about whether I draw into the mouth and then lungs or straight down! Now I am going to have to watch carefully for that! Perhaps I need to try a subtank somewhere at a vape shop first to compare. I was hoping to purchase all online.

So, the subtank is better if I draw straight to the lung, and the nautilus if I take to the mouth and then the lung? That the right way around?

And both take ready made coils rather than fookin about with tweezers and bits of cotton wick?!

Any recommendations for a compact neat box that incorporates the tank too? Had a quick google and the Kanger Nebox and the Joyetech eGrip both seem well regarded. Any views? Or are these one box machines flawed in some way that carrying the taller one atop another devices make for a better experience?

Another +1 for the Goblin mini, it's a decent RDA for the size, impressive clouds as well. Mines been relegated to my backup mod now as I've got an iSub Apex which is hands down the best atomizer I've used flavour wise (I've tried a few).

These two mods are what I carry around day to day, a Coolfire 4 with iSub Apex and a Kangerside 25w mini with the goblin, I used to take extra liquids and batteries etc... but now find it easier to just carry around two mods. The small one with the Goblin mini makes pretty big clouds which is impressive for the size.

Ordered! Wasn't looking for new kit but $20 from fast tech seems rude not to!
