Nobody notices shoes at work, so why not buy something cheap, well made and comfortable?

Heh, I knew what kind of reaction I'd get on here!
Heh, I assumed we were all having a laugh on here. Especially the way people take the piss out of other people's taste. Didn't realise you were one of the serious ones. Crack on... biggrin

I think I'd only really pay any attention to someone's shoes if they turned up wearing those 2-tone brogue clown shoes. Or something that looked like it was provided by the NHS.

Here are some more traditionally executed heels which are still tapered, pitched and canted but less extreme than the Japanese offerings.

Who makes those? They look quality and the colour/type I'm after.

Chuck Taylor all star 2's

Really like the gum sole option, not seen another pair like them.

I've had many pairs original Chuck Taylor's over the years, the new inserts in the soles of these are extremely comfortable.

I bought a pair of black Tekoa waterproof boots a month or so ago, and they must have the new inserts as well because they are far more comfortable than my other Chuck Taylor's.

Quick heads-up - The code AMZ12 gets you £10 off at Charles Tyrwhitt. Their popular Cedar shoe trees are thus £14.90 delivered. I just ordered a pair.

You can only use the code once though frown

For health, comfort and deadlifts, they cannot be beaten!
(holy post resurrection!!)

Complete tosh. In fact the company that makes them have been sued for making such unsubstantiated claims.

What are people's thoughts of these? They are Oliver Sweeney Aldeburgh in black. looking for a few smart shoes to wear to work. Probably look at getting some Loakes or Churches as a second pair if I decide to keep these.

Those abominations could come with the promise of eternal life and still no self-respecting adult should wear them.
