The actual time it takes for the track and trace app to do it's thing could be almost instantaneous once a positive test result is recorded, but the time it takes to get the PCR test result could be several days after the close contact event which is actually the route cause of the delay.

Do we really need to do this topic every single week? Go to a gramma forum if it bothers you that much. People stretch the use of our language every day, that’s how it evolves and why we don’t still talk like it’s the 17th century.
Irony.

In your eridute opinion, is a "group of councillors" possibly suggesting there was more than 1 individual involved?

We've been teached to ride a bicycle by our parents at age four to six. Later, at age 9/10, Herr Schulz from the local Polizei teached every school kid in the quarter for two days how to navigate in road traffic, how to be predictable and not get killed. Worked for everyone. Seen him around with school classes and cycles decades later too. God bless him and his work.

Listening to Ken on Radio2 this morning, when Jeremy comes on to let you know what nonsense to avoid on his show. So today, we're talking about why people would want to be exempted from covid rules.

Come on, be fair; English is not Bodo's first language.

I've never visited this thread before. Perhaps I'm missing something but it exists just for people to quote others spelling mistakes from across the forum?

Not really, you'd be here forever otherwise. My interpretation of the thread is to highlight the unintentional funnies of spelling mistakes, PH or elsewhere. If you just want to pick apart everyone's poor spelling that would make you a rather sad individual. If you think it's rather tasteless, other threads are available.

Thank you, I was aware other threads were available but appreciate the reminder. Very kind.

Not tasteless, I just wasn't clear on the purpose seeing as so many posts are just quotes and nothing else.

Yep, I'd say it's primarily for amusing mistakes, rather than merely run-of-the-mill ones. One that I think sums it up nicely to me was 'night hood' instead of knighthood, it gives a glimpse into the way it's possible to have had something different in one's mind for years and never known.

I could be wrong here, many years since i was at school but I thought exempted was past tense, and he was talking about going forward, so they would be exempt? It certainly sounded wrong.
