Hopefully this continues as we're getting married in a marquee in the garden on Saturday... Probably biblical rain after weeks of sunshine!

This is Thursday, as far as the MetOffice pressure charts go...

Weekend looking so-so, not a wash out.

Next week....? Did somebody say 'high pressure'? (Of course it is - it's my birthday!)

Lovely day in West Berks - only a couple of heavy showers, one just after I'd cleaned the cars (result!).

Low pressure in charge this week (to our east), but a strong signal for some high pressure in to June...

Wot? I’m just outside West Berks in Wilts and it’s been grey all afternoon! Although the sun is out right now. - at last.
The hills of Dorset and Wilts seem to do us a favour... When the wind is from the SW showers tend to hit us far less frequently then around us.

Good news - high pressure increasingly forecast - drier!

Bad news - to our west again, meaning a weak northerly and maybe cloud. The last high pressure was fairly miserable.

The high pressure has arrived to our west - hence the howling northerly. Doesn't look like we'll get much heat out of this setup as it high doesn't float over us. FML.

Drier, at least getmecoat

Arrived in to Brussels last night and it was about 18 degrees. I think I was the only person not in a coat hehe

Looking at the next 5 days, neither high or low pressure in charge - so a mixed bag. Not good, not wet and windy.

Just had a Teams call with a contact in Croatia. She was sat on a balcony overlooking the Dalmatian Coast and it looked just so beautiful.

People can fall out irked

Current GFS forecast for 2 weeks away is a heatwave. Place your bets.

Is it relative though, because its been mid single figures overnight. A heat wave could mean the dizzying heights of low teens comparatively
Absolutely - improvements look likely but if anyone thinks we can go from this dross to high 30s in a blink of an eye, I'll have what they're having.

Start looking for an improvement midweek next week - following weekend looking good for BBQs. Too far out to be a forecast, but there's some model alignment for improvement.
