"Tynemouth, too posh for the likes of you."

You have to live here to get it. We have a village association which dislikes everyone and everything that isn't Tynemouth.

I have lived here on and off since 1981 and was told last year by someone I was an "incomer"
I've managed to ignore Shelbyville (or 'Tynemouth', as you lot like to call it) for absolutely years, but having put in a couple of visits recently, it really is a lovely little place. It's on my list of places I'd like to live.

Anyways.

South Shields; It's Not As st As Everyone Says.

Telford : The Womb of Climate Change

(A green-tinged member of a local forum termed it as such some years ago, as Telford is the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution)

We argued.

Lots.

IIRC, I stated that if it wasn't for Abraham Darby she'd be spending four days to get her shopping home on horseback rather than in her car.
