Our marketing director has flounced in with a need for people to have more traction and provide more colour when in fact he means discuss in depth and add more detail (I think).

Ex military type here and was used to hearing On Point to describe the first man on a single file patrol. A jolly dangerous position for American soldiers during the Vietnam war.
