When the street and the building were named, chances are standardised spellings didn't exist so it wouldn't have really mattered and the concept of "correct" spelling didn't really apply. A situation we sadly seem to be returning to.

The little push tabs on the ends of boxes of aluminium foil or cling film...hold the roll in place...took me until 40 to discover this...

The Orbitel logo on old Orbitel GSM phones was designed by a bloke called Chris Drake.

He only went and snuck his initials on it!

Yes, but if you look closely, it seems that it originally said "Goal" rather than "Gaol" and they've had to go over the top.
