Do you like starting fights at quizzes.
I like winning them and yes, I have corrected wrong answers before now........ (I also get annoyed when TV quizzes have questions which have multiple correct answers in the terms they are asked)Yes I should have specified unit (I prefer Kelvin as I think most understand that more) and should not have been talking to the wife about watching Bridget Jones whilst typing.
It also depends if the OP wants questions that have answers which some would think are obvious but they would be wrong....
Some other perhaps easier questions which can be guessed/worked out?
Which is the largest freshwater lake in the world?
What is the largest great lake ?
What is the deepest lake in the UK?
What is the largest natural lake in the UK?
What does it mean if a horse in a statue has one leg raised? (though not all have this so I suppose it should be what is the general meaning of...)

Alaska
Presumably part of Alaska is west of the International Date Line ?It doesn't cross the date line as the date line was moved in accordance with international borders, however the Aleutian Islands do span the 180° meridian so the western most islands are in the eastern hemisphere.
I can see this quiz ending in bitter acrimony.
Q: What's the height above average mean sea level (AMSL) of the International Space Station?
A accepted: 403 km to 408 km (250 miles to 254 miles).
A expanded: It's an eliptical orbit with perigee (smallest AMSL) of 403 km (250 miles), and apogee (largest AMSL) of 408 km (254 miles).
Q: The musical note A4, generally known as standard, concert and Stuttgart pitch has a frequency defined by ISO 16. What is that frequency?
A: 440 Hz.
Q: If an engine is rated as having 1000 horsepower, what is its power rating in kilowatts?
A1: 735.5 kW (metric 1000 hp)
A2: 745.7 kW (imperial 1000 hp)
Q: Who was the last man to have walked on the moon?
A: Eugene "Gene" Cernan.
Q: Which toy manufacturer built a factory at Binns Road, Liverpool, in 1914?
A: Meccano Ltd.
A note: answers of Hornby (Hornby Railways) or Dinky (Dinky Toys) are incorrect, because those were brands owned and produced by Meccano.

Q:. What was unique about the English Rugby Union back who kicked a drop goal against Italy in 2000?
A:. He was the first, and still currently the only forward to have kicked a drop goal for England!
By way of explanation, drop goals in rugby are almost invariably kicked by backs rather than forwards. Here, the name of the forward in question was Leicester player Neil Back!

So very true. But also "standard" quiz fare.......... And most will go with Windermere in the UK with the speed records and so on which at least makes that a valid one to guess (and accept as the answer). wsurfa said:
Pretty sure Windermere isn't in the top 10 lake/loch/lough in the UK for either measure though
Ah that should have been England - much larger ones UK wide, I've been to a few of them too. My fault I am working whilst on PH and not concentrating. On that note the UK answer would also surprise people but I am not sure they could work it out as most would go Lomond I suspect .
Oh, and in what state was the Declaration of Independence signed? At least people can guess a state.
And who signed it first....Again, people can guess (possibly most will say Washington)
Into what sea does the river Volga flow........(Kind of a cheating question but still people can guess a sea)
What is the biggest Island in the world? People can guess an island at least.
How long, to the nearest mile, is the Suez Canal? Again, you can guess a numer...
Who was the founder of the Red Cross?
Who was the founder of the Salvation Army?
Boy scouts and things like Bernados were a touch too easy?
What nationality is the person credited with killing Baron Von Richthofen? (though the issue with this is there is dispute in a few places, when I was a child it was a Canadian but..... )

From watching weather reports the biggest by surface area will be in Northern Island, don't know its name without checking though.
Neagh (IIRC that is the spelling). And it is I think larger than Lomond and Windermere put together. Actually I have a feeling the largest lake in Wales added in as well still don't stand as large but don't hold me to that.
