With a bit of luck, we will be making an addition to the family next week in the shape of a lively rescue GSD bh - and if she arrives, she's going to need a name.
It has to start with "D" - MrsC's rules for pets are that they have to have names alliterative to their type, so starting with D for dogs, M for mice, etc etc.
I'm stuck between Difflock and Distributor at the moment; the alternative being human names, so Doris is quite high up the list.
Fire away (and no, we won't be calling her Deefer.....)

Well, we settled on Duffy in the end. She came from a Welsh pound so that was the rationale!

Thanks for all the input.
Well done, lovely dog, and rescued just in time by the sound of it! Always distressing when charities put down healthy dogs - thankfully there are plenty of breed specialists out there that will take them on.Pics on the Post your Dogs thread now.

Just thought I'd pounce on the suggestions given,
I'll hopefully be taking in a Golden Retriever from a rescue centre in the next week or so. My problem is that the dogs name is Charlie and has been called that for 3.5 years. Nothing wrong with the name Charlie, infact I love it. Trouble is my 4 year old daughter is also called Charlie
Now, I've been advised that I can change the dogs name slightly so if you have any suggestions I'd appreciate it.
So far I have Marley
over to you....

I have a lab called colin - named after my father. Never causes a problem TBH when he visits as the tones of voice used tend to be different. The little girl will also probably love the fact that the dog was called after her I'll hopefully be taking in a Golden Retriever from a rescue centre in the next week or so.
