Wow!

Straight to the toys page.

I had all the space lego.
The A-Team metal helicopter
And the XR3i scaletrix set

Can't believe the prices of lego now compared to back then.
Where is the XR3i scalextric set?
I used to have it, it was called "Night stages" If I remember correctly.
There was a "Supa Snaps" yellow car and a white "Texaco" car.
I bloody loved it and my starting grid had bit grooves melted into with me holding the arse end of the cars and doing burnouts!
The living room used to stink.

Great days and I miss them alot! frown
Tucked away at the bottom of one of the toy pages.

It's not the night stage one. Mine had a Silver and Red XR3i on a simple loop. I checked with my parents last night - Dad thinks it is still in the loft somewhere.

Good to see that I was not the only one who used to wear out the back tyres with burn outs!

The jewellery section is the same as the current one!!
It's much worse now! I cannot see any clown pendants, sovs, rings with 'DAD' on them, chavvy name ear rings or Man United rings in the old catalogue.

I can't see it, I can't see it! Restrictions at work and no broadband at home frown

Can someone tell me what's on the Musical Instruments pages, please? Especially Casio keyboards.

I want my own little nostalgia trip.....
There's a few stty Casio Keyboards for you - and a Bontempi organ! There's also a crappy Yamaha drum machine. There are no piss-poor classical guitars or electric guitar starter packages with Flyspec headphone amplifier.

I'm actually surprised just how much of the stuff from the toys section I owned;

Page 279: #13 (Kongman), #19 (Cluedo)

Page 282: #3 (Crossbows & Catapults)

Page 282: #19 (Lego police van WITH LIGHT AND SOUND!), #20 (Lego Police Station), (also had the fire station but that's in the other catalogue)

Page 284: #1 (Castle Seige Tower), #4 (Lego Castle Lion)

Page 291: #17 (Modulok)

Page 293: #12 (Condor), #15 (Thunderhawk), #16 (Jackhammer), #18 (Gator)

Page 294: #1 (Metroplex), #9 (starscream)

It's the MT-46 that I've still got (although it's in pieces, but could be reassembled).

I never knew the lawnmower my parents had in the mid 80s was the Flymo Sprintmaster XE38, but now i do.

And it cost £99.95.

Last lawnmower i bought was £39.95.

Funny there's no CD players which seemed to have been around for ever now.

Some of the toy cars must have been on the market for a while, I had some of those shown but was 17 at the time of that catalogue.

Still using some of their speaker brackets from that catalogue - that's another story.
