Picked up a Mountfield SP41 petrol mower just under £150 quid (RRP £2119)

Fitted handles, put some oil and petrol in and fired first pull of the cord.

Been looking for a self propelled mower to replace my 21year old McCulloch for a while now.

I picked up a rotosserie for the barbecue. Only around 15-20% off but I was quite surprised to see it discounted at all, given it's peak BBQ season at the moment. It was sold out by the afternoon so must have gone well.

Anyway, looking forward to the first roast chicken with nice crispy skin and just a hint of smokiness... lick

There is a long thread on the ACEPC about fan noise here: https://www.iacepc.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=38&am...

Someone said the Noctua NF-A4x10 5V Fan is the one to get. For £14 it might be worth a go. Not sure how easy it is to swap out the old one
Just had a read of that thread, many thanks. Have taken a punt on the Noctua and bought some decent thermal paste too. Had a look inside it tonight, it's pretty straightforward to swap provided the Noctua fits.
Keep us posted please!
I'm actually going to return it, spend a little more and get a completely passively-cooled NUC I think. The fan and thermal paste turned up today but I needed the paste anyway and the fan may well come in handy somewhere one day so I'll hang on to them.

Ah, ok.

Managed to fish the HDMI cable down the garden room wall from the TV for mine at lunchtime. It’s now hanging out of sight on the wall behind the fridge! Just waiting for the Logitech media keyboard to turn up now and I’m sorted.

They were selling the Echo Flex for £9.99 which seemed like a good deal and is a neater solution if it is visible

https://www.amazon.co.uk/amazon-echo-flex-plug-in-...

Back up to £24.99 now though…
I extend my arm and flick the light switch on.
Damn that slipped under my radar, if I'd been a bit more on the ball I'd have snagged a few of those with the motion sensor, great for bedtime bathroom visits using the hall socket and hall light.

Next year perhaps.

Got my Galaxy buds and just filled in the Samsung cash back claim form. They wanted a screenshot of the receipt (Amazon email) and a photo of the serial number sticker on the box. Now I wait and hope I filled it in properly (there are 5 serial numbers on the sticker, I hope I typed in the right one). I've had a go of them and they stay in pretty well and sound fine so far.
Mine arrive tomorrow, if the cash back doesn't down I'll be returning them.

Does anyone know if the seller being Amazon EU s.a.r.l. have an impact?
Just had a text from Samsung - provisionally approved the claim - Buds are pretty good and for £40 I aint complaining biggrin.

Being used to sony players and nanny state headphones I almost deafened myself when I horsed up the volume rofl

I'm pretty impressed with the sound quality and fit of the earbuds once I worked out how to insert them well worth £40 if the cashback tracks, I put them in upside down and didn't think much at first.

Seem to work well in my WRX drowning out the burble and wind noise when cruising at motorway speeds, haven't yet used the microphone.

I skipped downloading the app as they paired with my phone straight away, I think touching the surface for five seconds enables/disables the ANC?

Manual says 3 taps for enabling disabling the anc.

But not tried it yet.

I got the same for my tablet. Much simpler than the Lenovo cashback a few years ago, which had three stages, each with a two-day window to submit, several weeks apart...

Some vendors make it tricky to do in the hope that many forget or miss the claim window(s).

My beans arrived today, wasn't sure how to put them in at first, certainly a bit different to anything I've used before.

Sounds not half bad, could be a good one for the office where I want some music but also don't want to be isolated from everyone.

Just sent off for the cash back, so now it's the waiting game.

I am not a tin foil hatter but it does seem like they will give them away to get them out there.

Have you seen the Amazon Key in the US

They’ll be able to sell services to you, not just products.
Need a house cleaner while you’re at work… no problems, they’ll let themselves in

If you want a 512gb Samsung MicroSD card for "free" you can claim £20 cashback on this;

https://www.cclonline.com/product/333034/MB-MC512H...

If you have already claimed for the earbuds you can get a £50 bonus for making 2 claims (apparently)

I can't be arsed as I really don't need another mem card but thought I'd share in case anyone did smile

I'm probably being think - and I haven't read the history - but I don't understand how the memory card is "free"?

The CCL link is £74.49, so £54.49 after the cashback. On Amazon it's £75-odd.

So throw a parrot over this way to explain what am I missing?

You get an additional £50 cashback ontop if you've already bought the earbuds during the promotional timeframe so it comes to £5 if you claim the £50 bonus ontop of the £20.
