BMW M135i and Audi S3 competing full speed on german autobahn. The video is recorded with an iPhone 4s.
Drive dynamics data is visualized through fully animated original car displays recorded by Drivedeck Sport Pro (OBD-2)
BMW M135i vs Audi S3 German Autobahn
What do you think?
These cars are almost identical in performance, although the Audi did look like it has a few MPH more on top speed.Drive dynamics data is visualized through fully animated original car displays recorded by Drivedeck Sport Pro (OBD-2)

Good vid!
This popped up on my facebook this morning - a previously unknown medical condition made itself aware while this guy was driving his car:

Lucky guy! Can't help but think if the car was a manual, the damage would be a lot less.

apt username! I have literally nothing in common with those type of people... I mean it's in some way admirable, but we may as well be different species!! I can't even watch the video without getting a weird 'kick in the balls' type ache. Nope nope nope.Silver Smudger said:

I know what you mean. I get a physical, unpleasant feeling in and around my diaphragm watching that. Not normal.I can kind of imagine getting up there but getting down after getting to the top. Nope. I'd freeze and probs just die on the spot.

I'd do that, but then I have no issues with heights.
It's not even a technically difficult thing to do. If they were doing a trad rock climb at, say, E9+, or dry tooling at M10+, then yes, I'd be doffing my cap.
So for balance, here's a good friend of mine dry tooling an M10+ route, solo (and he only has one hand, so he can't switch axes)

I guess they were climbing actual ladders all the way up so it wasintended to be scaled by humans, for whatever reason
Yup, if all of that was 10 feet off the ground anyone could piss up it without a second thought. If you can rationalise that if you're not going to fall the height is more or less irrelevant, which plenty of people can, something like this is pretty easy. Alain Robert is far FAR more impressive. That doesn't mean these videos aren't fun to watch though.
Having an "off" on the Nordschleife appeared to be much more hardcore in 1970...
